Continuing on this lifestyle change journey!
Update 7-25-13: Recommitting to taking better care of myself for myself. Started a new way of eating 7-6-13. So far it is going well. Family support without them following it as strictly as I am.
Continuing on this journey to a healthier me! I am married with 2 kids (1 out of the house, now) and 3 cats. I work full time out of the home.

Weight loss has been eluding me for the past several years again. I have been under stress, especially the last 8 years. Mostly work related.
In the past, weight loss was not too bad to get to goal. Maintaining was the tricky part. I have been to my goal weight 3 times in the past 30 years.
With the slow progress, I am giving myself litte non-monitary rewards for maintaining-staying on track, until I make it to the next level.
I celebrate each 5 pounds off to keep me going! Sometimes it is sharing with someone, trying on smaller clothes, or giving myself a special me time activity.
First goal of 10% off (27 pounds):
Second goal 50 pounds off:
Third goal 75 pounds off:
Fourth goal 100 pounds off:
Final goal ? (to be determined when closer) pounds off: new wardrobe
Found this in a blog! I think this is great! Thanks for passing it on to share with others!
(((((((((((((((((( garbage trucks ))))))))))))))))))))))))
one day i hopped into a taxi and we took off for the airport. we were drivng in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space bright in front of us
my taxi driverslammed on his breaks, skidded to a stop missing the other car by inches
....the driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us . my taxi driver
just smilled and waved the guy and i mean was he friendly so i asked"why did you do that? the guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital."
this is when my driver taught me what i now call ;the law of the garbage truck:
he explained that many people are like garbage trucks. they run around full of garbage ,
full of frustration, full of anger, and full ofdisappointment. as thier garbage piles up they need a place to dump it. sometimes they will dump it on you : dont take it personally, just smile ,
wave, wish them luck and move on. don't take thier garbageand spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the people on the street.
,,, bottom line is that successful people do not let the garbage truck take over thier day. lifes to short to wake up in the morning with regreats, so love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't, life is ten percent what you make it, and ninety persent how we do it.
