Eleven years ago, I lost 160 pounds with the help of WWs. And then it dwindled down to about 40, despite various attempts to reverse the trend. Sounds terrible, but we're only talking about something like 10 pounds a year. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GAINING AND LOSING WEIGHT IS ACTUALLY QUITE SMALL!!

Since seriously tracking my food with SparkPeople, I'm down 36 pounds, plus the 40 I never regained which equals a not-too-shabby 76 pounds lost!

Yes, I'm a big person, but not nearly as big as I used to be. Check out the picture with the Gateway boxes below! It's close to my highest weight..

I would, however, LOVE to get back to my low weight... see grad picture at left. This would mean that I would need to lose about 90 pounds. But I know I can do it, because I've done it before.

Last time, it took me exactly 365 days to lose 100 pounds. And it wasn't that hard!! Honestly. I just had to track my food EVERYDAY without exceptions or starting over. Even if some days are a little high, it's ok but everything has to be documented to make the intention strong.

I think the reason the weight loss with Weight Watchers didn't stay off well is because I didn't have the right nutrient balance. I have been shocked to discover on SparkPeople that I wasn't eating enough (complex) carbs and (good) fats!!! No wonder my body complained so much. No wonder my brain fogged over!

My Program:
I'm eating about 1750 calories a day, tracking every bite, drinking 8 cups of water, eating more fresh fruits and vegetables, and consciously increasing my activity level.

    Happy 2019! See personal note attached to pedometer. Loving this winter here in SW Kzoo so far...have been on walks in January without snow boots!

    Thanks for the Spark Goodie, I hope your spring is going well too! I am having quite a time with the seasonal allergies but I am doing pretty good with activity and eating right, and in other things.

    emoticon and emoticon to the 50+FFFF team. I look forward to get acquainted with you. We have similar stories in that I lost 140 lbs a few years back and unfortunately gained it all back but about 20 lbs! I have been dinking around for years with my weight but last Oct I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and I have since lost 45 lbs and going strong. Together we can get back to our goal weight and maintain!
