I reached my first goal of losing 20 pounds in 2020. After weighing in today, I kept repeating my weight as 174 when in reality it is 194. Maybe I'm visualizing my next goal. Now to make it so!

My goal for 2020 is to lose 20 pounds. In 2019, I lost 30 pounds before falling off the wagon. I gained back 11 pounds, but that means I had a 19 pound loss for the year. That's a Win. Imagine where I could be in 5 years if I lost 20 pounds a year. I'd be at my goal of losing 100 pounds. Would I like to lose all the weight sooner? Of course, but if it takes me 5 years, I'd still have all the weight gone. So, I'm going to focus on losing that first 20 pounds.

    Yes, Joe and I are very fortunate. A little background - in 2016 at age 71 he had emergency brain surgery for 2 massive hematomas. He fell out of bed. No symptoms for 3 weeks, but it seems as we age a small slow bleed can be devastating and easily misdiagnosed.
    The doctors said if he hadn't been "in good shape" he never would have survived the surgery, let alone made a full recovery. One more reason to stick with the program here.
