Aloha and welcome to my Spark Page …

I've been on a weight-loss journey most all my life. You'd think I'd be a pro by now but, alas, not the case. I'm still learning. The last year or so I have made real progress however so there seems to be some light at the end of this long dark tunnel and I'm going to continue heading for it! Being here on Spark the past six years has helped direct my path to a healthier lifestyle and introduced me to some wonderful new friends. Hopefully it will do the same for you!

~Eat Healthy/Be Healthy
~Be more active with yoga, tai chi, walking, gardening and landscaping
~Increase strength and flexibility
~Cultivate a healthy mind and body
~Keep an open mind, heart and loving spirit


My Program:
My program is healthy LIVING! Back to REAL foods. I've finally come round to a whole-foods, plant-based way of eating. This, along with moderate exercise/activity and taking conscious time and effort to live life in a simple balanced way in all aspects, has changed my life and health in amazing tangible ways - mind, body, spirit!

Avid reader, knitter, enjoy gardening and landscaping
Married 31 years to a wonderful supportive husband
Enjoy companionship of our dog, Daisy, and recently being adopted by a feral cat we have named Walli-Cat

    I can tell you from experience that this way of eating works for losing the weight. Pick and choose the foods that you like best. I found that making my meal simple at first worked. Later on, I began to experiment with more recipes. And most importantly, when you make a mistake or eat something off plan--Forget it, forgive yourself and move on from there. Do Not Quit!
