My name is Debbie and I am a retiring fundraiser who had a book filled with my new season things to explore. Then Covid-19 struck and many of those things have been postponed. July 1 looms ahead and while I have volunteered to work at the University two days a week...I doubt they will let me given that even thought there is a hiring freeze, they don't want to reclassify my job as part-time.

I love to garden, read, sing and enjoy good food and wine. I started to draw my IBM pension in March 2016, though I have no plans to collect my Social Security until 70 (February 2021). I had planned to spend 33% of my time traveling around this beautiful world, 33% helping others as a volunteer and the rest enjoying my life and living simply.

I achieved my top career goal in November 2016 to become a Certified Fund Raising Executive.I renewed that in January 2020 while at the University of San Diego and will retire July 1, 2020.

I am concentrating on building and rebuilding my body for optimum health with my wellness doctor/coach since mid-February. Lifestyle choices are hard to make and even harder to keep. But every day is a new day.

1. Reachieve goal weight of 135
2. Increase my muscle mass
3. Strengthen my immune system

My Program:
1. Follow the Gain Wellness Program starting February 12, 2020 - a six month healthy lifestyle adoption.
2. Walk 30 minutes every day
3. Increase weight exercises for the upper body
4. Eliminate unhealthy foods
5. Adopt a healthy lifestyle

    Hi there fellow San Diegan! emoticon Just wanted to drop by and say thanks for your comments on my first ever blog last week--about a night person emoticon becoming a morning person emoticon It really IS a beautiful time of day that I've been missing, or getting at the end of a long day! :) I think you are right that we are more meant to be morning people than night people. My DH and I are struggling with it this week though. It's been hard to go to bed early, not too long after he arrives home from work. But it's a shift of time before work in exchange for the time after work. Still working on it.
