It was my TIME to get in shape
I had a wake up call helping my son move. I helped my son move a couch and loveseat out of the basement of the fire station. All I had to do was keep them from falling down the steps. My son did all of the heavy lifting. By the time both were up the steps, I was so short of breath that I thought my son was going to have to go back into the fire station and get me an oxygen tank from the ambo. I knew it was time to do something. I had to start dropping the weight.

My Goals:
My initial goal was to lose 30 pounds by May 14, 2009. I have acheived that. I have set another goal now to be the weight that I have listed on my drivers license. So far I am still working on that goal.
My Program:
I am watching what I eat and trying to stay away from high fat items. I still like my chocolate, so I make fat free pudding with fat free milk and that satisfies that craving. I keep reminding myself that I will not look like that again. I joined a gym after being a couch potato for 20 years after being in the managemnet ranks. It helps when the people at the gym notice that "you are getting skinny".
