2014 Goals _ Currently Tied to BLC24

The picture to the left is my goals and habits. But to summarize, I want to lose 20 lbs. (but, that number is not that important), reach competition measurements, complete races I have registered for in April, accomplish numerous new strength training moves at the gym, turn those skinny jeans baggy, enjoy my scheduled 4/12 Photo Shoot.
(2013 Goals were a bust)
Looking toward 2013 - my heart just wasn't in it... that was the hardest thing to admit to myself. I was feeling the need to do something different and be a part of my surroundings. When competing - I was secluded in my world - no friends or family members competed or lifted competitively; so I had no one to workout with, eat with, complain too - it was very lonely.
I was surprised when I mentioned to my husband that I wanted to train and participate in triathlons. Why? - so did he!!! Now, I have someone to run with, bike with and swim with. I can enjoy an occasional cheat meal and wonderful dinners with friends and families. And now, I can train to run the Capital 10K in memory of my Father. I am very happy.
2012 Update: New year, new goals. Good news, I'm still lean, still green! Just a 'little soft' as they would say in the body building world. Ha ha... I officially get to say I am a figure competitor.
High level on the agenda for 2012:
1. Run Capital 10K in March in Memory of my Dad
2. Celebrate my son's graduation from Marine Corp Boot camp
3. Run a warrior dash/mud run with my Marine
4. Compete in 2012 in Figure and place higher
5. Continue to work on that procrastination thing (not an issue with fitness)
Lots to do.
(2011 Contest Prep)
Count down has begun...
Training is going well. Diet, although it is hard, it is going very well. I laugh now at my page title because I never knew when I typed that back in October 2010 how visionary that is...
I am very muscular and lean. All I eat is lean and green (and minimal morning carbs). AND, now I drive a lean, green muscle machine... my challenger.
I have learned so much and I am so excited, scared, happy, ready, nervous, not ready, to walk across that stage on October 29th - the official start of bucket list countdown will have commenced and this goal was a year in the making.
Follow my experience/comments on twitter. I could also use your encouragement along the way. @SherdogSheri
(October 2010 Intro):
I decided to train for a Figure Body Building Competition. Never been to one much less competed in one. So my training and eating were adjusted and the adventure began. My first competition is scheduled for this October (2011). A year's worth of hard work. A very healthy lifestyle of exercise and eating.
(Original Spark Page Intro):
I turned 40 in 2008 and I didn't like how I looked or how I felt. Thankfully for me, that was the same time my son needed to put on weight for High School Football. We live in small town USA, we found a personal trainer and private gym in town to work on his goals. I liked what I saw, and checked it out for myself. Years later, I am in the best shape of my life (even better than when I played college volleyball). Now I lift some serious weights, run 5K's, and do whatever I like!

In REP CITY (or hell) not sure... alot of sets and reps on the weight lifting. Leaning up and getting pretty those muscles... 5am every morning.
Cardio every night - at least 50-70 minutes depending on am training on fatigue level of body.
I DO LISTEN to my body. Rest and recovery are important.
Strict cutting diet - very high in protein and veggies. Low sodium and sugar, controlled calories.
(Oct 2010 - June 2011)
Workout every weekday at 5am for 1-1/2 hours - lifting weights and doing cardio. This was very heavy lifting for purpose of building up some muscle mass - THIS IS HARD FOR WOMEN TO DO!!!!
