I am finally at a point where I view getting fit and healthy as one of the most important things I will ever accomplish. I still have a good 20-25 pounds to lose, but I will get there by eating mostly whole, organic, unprocessed foods; eating appropriate amounts; eating regularly; and getting fit through strength training and cardio. It's hard work, but the end result is worth all the effort. I am so appreciative of all my Spark friends. Love you guys!

My Goals:
My goals are to get these last 20 pounds off my body for good. I want to develop a healthy relationship with food and exercise and learn how to balance calories in and calories out. I want to be a good role model for my kids. And mostly, I want to be around to see my kids grow up and to share in their life achievements. I want to grow old along side my husband and lead an active life.


My Program:
I am currently tracking what I eat and exercising consistently. I am keeping my calories under control by eating more fruits and vegetables, lean meats, a very small amount of grain products and lean dairy. I strive for a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise daily and I'm shooting for 60 to 90 minutes on most days. I am focusing on strength training this year so I can build some muscle to help off-set a slow metabolism.



Personal Information:
I'm from Colorado and enjoy all the outdoor activities it has to offer. I have two teenage sons and a fabulous husband.


Other Information:
I love to bake (but if I do, I have to be able to give it away!). I love making soup and trying healthy new recipes. I love to read when I have time. I love to bike, hike and enjoy the outdoors with my family.

    Thanks for the comment. Kisses is a little over a year now and still as hyper as she was when we first got her. Can't wait till she calms down a bit. Her and DD get each other so riled up, I can't handle them both. The only thing I can do then is lock Kisses in her pen for awhile. Sometimes I wish I could lock up DD too, lol.

    Going to post some new pics of Kisses and DD. As soon as my mom sends me some, going to post some of my niece and DD together, too. Well, see ya around the STOP Team message boards.
