SparkPeople is my motivation to better health! My new Fitbit step counting of 13 K steps a day is my reachable goal! For the past 11 years, I have lived and worked the Spark Program. I am thrilled at the changes in my life. I recently added a once a month phone conference with a Diabetic Dietitian, and I healthier, happier, and reaching new goals! I am the team leader of the Healthy Hearts Spark Teams, and I learn something new about health every day. I write a short blog every day, and many wonderful SparkFriends read them, and comment on my journey to health and wholeness. The best is here now, and I will continue to grow! 2019 is becoming the best year of my life! I'm learning new skills like meditation and using my elliptical machine. Consistency is key! My doctor told me that SparkPeople.com has kept me in great shape! I am focusing on my new objectives! 1. Continuing the T2D medication as long as necessary. My Primary Care Physician told me that if I keep my blood sugar levels low and have another low A1C 2. Naturally lowering my blood pressure. I am doing more with meditation in hopes of getting off of my BP medication Metropolol. I am also starting a regime of drinking hibiscus tea. 3 My husband and I do yoga every night 4. I am creating a good weight lifting program. I have a few weights at home. I'd like to find an affordable way to improve my weightlifting regime. Work the plan every day, and the plan will work for you! I do take a few cheat days, but get back on track ASAP! I hope that my blogs help you on your journey! I am stronger for writing them. Often, I adjust my plan to keep up with my changing life. I'm changing for the better Jackie

My Goals:
I was diagnosed on 1-3-11. My life has changed as I am taking control of my health by making better food choices.
I plan to hike Mt Monadnock with my grandkids this summer. I work hard at getting in my daily walk, bike ride or kayak ride and stretches. I also lift weights 3xs a week.
I want to see my blood sugar levels at 110-120 every morning. I'm getting there!


My Program:
I am a walker, a kayaker and a hiker. I am gearing up to volunteer this summer 2018 with the AMC, helping people hike in the White Mountains. I also plan to hike in Colorado, and hope to hike in Spain. I eat a low carb diet in order to control Type II Diabetes. It's working! I'm stronger and more confident! Thank you Lord Jesus!

I am the blogger for Rabbit Ear Films Facebook and on Spark People.. Rabbit Ear Films is creating a 90 minute documentary on Mt. Monadnock to be aired on NHPTV. LIKE our FB site! We are looking for 2,000 LIKEs! Please LIKE my page! The film is due out in September!

I am a Special Education School teacher in Stoddard, NH. I am a Gramma, a mom, a wife and I love God, life, friends and family. I also love to sew quilts and crafts.

    Miss Lilly is doing really well! She was diagnosed w/microvascular dysplasia when she was 6 mths. old. BUT with her healthy, whole food diet (yeah, sound familiar!), she now has normal liver values! So, have to keep up w/it. AND exercise, too!!!
