My Goals:
I'm keeping it simple. At this point, my 2 primary goals:
1) Tracking everything that goes into my mouth every day. Even if I have a bad nutrition day and exceed calories. I think there is value in the habit and it provides a good opportunity to learn from mistakes or feel good about successful tracking days.
2) I'm very attached to my vivosmart! I basically track sleep and steps. My current goal is to meet 100% of step goals at least 5 days a week.
My plan is to successfully meet these 2 goals for 30 days & then reassess.
My Program:
Modeled on Bright Line Eating - limit flour and sugar, eat 3 nourishing, measured meals of real, unprocessed food, and no snacks. Food tracking every day. Journaling. Paying close attention to self-talk.
Personal Information:
I am almost 61 years old. In my head, I feel like I'm 35-40. Not sure why.
I'm grateful not to have physical problems besides the weight. I am seriously motivated to avoid diabetes, which runs in my family. I had the honor of caring for my mother in her last years, as she experienced the terrible impact of diabetes. Unlike me, she was a tiny person, although she struggled with weight in mid-life.
I really, really want to avoid diabetes if I can!
Other Information:
I love the SP articles, videos, and spark coaches. They are tremendously motivating!

I lost 70+ lbs in 2018 and maintained for 2 years, always hovering about 10 lbs above my goal.I’ve felt good and satisfied with the weight loss and much better physically and emotionally. The weight has been creeping up and I’m now 20 lbs above my goal. I am recommitting to daily habits that I know will get results. One day, one meal at a time.
