Welcome to Spark People! I love this site and have been on it off and on since 2013. I would suggest reading the book The Spark written by the founder of this site. It is very insightful and helpful towards getting you started. Another thing you might like to do is join a challenge. These are teams of people working together towards weight loss in a team setting. There are challenges each week and a weigh in. I belong to the Biggest Loser team called the Black Panthers. If you are interested, I can get you the information. At this point we are already 3 weeks in, but if you wanted to join I'm sure you could be an honorary member, which means your stats wouldn't count, but you could still participate and see how things are run and if you would want to be a part of the Winter challenge.
