Thank you for the comment on my blog post and on my picture. Also, thank you for the friend add, I added you in return.

Let me tell you something, you CAN achieve your goal! It's not about working real hard everyday and pushing your body to do more. It's about making really good dietary choices 80% of the time. People on diets try to be perfect and that's just not possible. Instead just try to be very good, we can all do that. On this weight loss journey, diet is 80% of the battle (maybe even a little more than that!). So being mindful of what you're eating (and keeping calories down) and going for a walk in the evening will work wonders for you.

Another bit of advice I like to give is to set your goals low. Thinking about needing to lose 150 lbs is rather daunting. Instead concentrate on losing 10 lbs and when that is reached concentrate on the next 10 lbs, and so on. A 10lb goal is very achievable and each time we reach it boosts our confidence and self esteem, making the next 10 seem a little easier. After a while of following this method you can look back and see that you've lost 50, 60 or more lbs all without the stress of feeling like your main goal is out of reach. Small goals add up to big losses!

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.

Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're Doing Something.

So that's my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

Whatever it is you're scared of doing, Do it.

Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”
