Introduction Text The simplest things can sometimes be the most challenging! I don't want to diet but find a way to stay healthy. Update October 29, 2010 In June 2010 I found through God's grace what I had been searching for in regards to weight loss without dieting. I found a Bible study called the Lord's Table. It has been a freeing experience, I am no longer a slave to emotional eating. I have surpassed my goal weight that I had chosen on Sparks. In fact, I lost 18 pounds past the weight goal I had chosen. Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all for the glory of God. I Corinthians 10:3

To eat better, to eat smaller portions and at some point add exercise.

I have not chosen any type of program I am trying to just START by being aware of what I am eating and why I eat the way I do. My thoughts: Life is all about choices....I am the only one that puts food into my mouth. I am responsible for me. I can not transfer the blame anymore. I realize that it is up to me to lose the weight. What is my choice going to be each day? First to start out every day with reading and studying God's Word. Through His grace I have self-control and no longer run to food for any emotional need! For He alone is my comforter and my safe refuge.

Update 01/02/10 I am now 57 years young, I have a wonderful life. I have 2 children , one is happily married and one is soon to be single again. My husband and I have been married for 38 years. We have one grandchild, she is 15 months old and the love of our lives. I give all the glory to God for he is my strength and my refuge. He has blessed me more than I deserve. I want to serve him well each day. Proverbs 3:5,6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

I love to watch our beautiful grandchild and enjoy every moment that we are with her. I am memorizing scripture. In June 2010 my goal is to memorize Philippians by the end of the year. I enjoy being the co-rider on my husband's Gold Wing motorcycle. Update: We just finished a 3 week trip. We have now completed seeing all lower 48 states on a goldwing.
