A compass not a watch
On my journey I'm taking a compass not a watch: it doesn't matter how long it takes as long as I'm moving in the right direction.
I've had my setbacks, but each time I get out my compass and get back on track. I keep in mind that there is no goal, no target weight when I'll be done, etc. Instead there is just this journey that I'm on to live each day in a healthy manner. And each day that I do that is a victory.
My old intro:
Heaviest weight ever: ...

Starting SparkPeople weight: 278.5 pounds
I lost 30 pounds before joining SparkPeople and another 50 since. My weight, my blood pressure, my fasting blood glucose, my total cholesterol and LDL have all dropped. I've been off all diabetes medicines since 7/24/2019. I lost so many inches on my waist that I had to buy a leather punch to make new holes in my belts.
I am grateful to my SparkFriends and the Spark Community for their friendship and their support. Thank you all.
