I am trying to lose weight so that I can get close to my high school weight. I am not proud of what I let myself get to and have not had the will power to change my appearance. I have finally gotten the courage to take control of my life and make a change.

To have a friend be a friend.

Love your body it is the only one you have.

I am DONE being the fat girl.

I am DONE letting food run my life.

I am DONE not carrying about myself.

I am DONE feeling sorry for myself.

I am DONE letting other people influence me.

I am DONE letting other people make me feel guilty.

I am DOING this with my daughter and together we can accomplish anything, because we are STRONG women.

"Life isn’t a matter of milestones, but of moments." ~ Rose Kennedy

Are we making every moment count? Does every moment have meaning in our lives? Are we valuing the moments of self-evaluation and reflection? It's important to remember that sometimes the moments of "doing nothing" are valuable because they allow us to recharge and refocus as we reach toward those milestone moments. They help us move forward stronger and more determined and are NOT wasted moments!

"Life is a mountain. Your goal is to find your path, not to reach the top." ~ Maxine Lagacé

emoticon The lesson I take from that quote is that we must find and follow the path that leads us toward our goals but that we need to be sure to partake of and learn from the experiences along the way. Following the path is more important than reaching the top of the mountain (our goals). The learning we do is of prime importance!
I know that I was not ready to change my life when I lost the weight before because loosing the weight was my only focus. My physical body changed but my emotional and mental health did not. I can see now why I failed and regained the weight!
