With help from Heaven in 2011

I am home recovering from hernia repair and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) surgery four weeks ago. I am still somewhat swollen and the doctor says I will take off a few more pounds as the fluid decreases. I no longer have the (luxury?) of overeating at any time. My skin is stretched to the limit and I am very conscious not undoing all my surgeons good work. Yes the tummy is flatter but at what a price. I lose weight by exercise and that is not an option for a few more months. I am lost without going to the pool I am determined to take this jump start and move forward with a healthier life with God's help. First goal 260 by August. 2011
1/25/2010 ~ Monday ~ I am approaching my current goal of 299. I will be weighing in at the doctors on Feb 5th and will update my weight then. I am on the most productive road in years this winter. I keep only healthy food in the house, easy to do when you live alone, keep fast food at a minimum. The most productive activity is going to the pool at our wonderful YMCA that is only a mile away. I had a lift put on my car last Fall and now take my scooter to the side of the pool where a lifeguard moves it for me. I swim and water exercise for 60 minutes 2-3 times a week. I hope to increase that to 4-5 times as the weather improves. Swallowing one's pride and just "Doing It!" brings great reward.
I am learning to european style knit, better for arthritis they say, which helps with the mindless eating. Need both hands to knit! I look forward to warmer weather and activity in my yard. Life is very good!

I currently weigh over I lost down to 305 3 years ago from 370 - the lowest in twenty years. I did this with change in diet, lifestyle and exercise in a small pool. I have allowed personal family issues, mostly caring for my 89 year old mother, to send me spiriling back to my current situation. I look for support and hope to give support on this site.

You said you found me by my picture so you knew it was me. What is in my picture you knew it was me,tee, hee
You look so good. Love your picture.
You are real faithful in your food in the house. You have stocked.
I cannot get passed my loss 11 pounds for two weeks or more.
You would think I was on a maintenance program.
I exercise, portion my food and the right food.
I know. Maybe I need to push the needle on the scale a pound ahead.
Of course not. I would not live with knowing I had done that.
I have too much of a conscious that has become pure before my Lord.
What a surprise when you said you loved Sparks also. You have been here all the time. Small world as you say.
hugs
