Did a nice mid-day walk near Diamond Head for a change.My cat snuggled my clean workout clothes. Hehehe, smells so much better!!I wanted healthier food today. My step count is just shy of 10K!Explored my new neighborhood over the past couple days.Ahhhh. Ala Moana Beach is so refreshingly clear with slight break from visitors.Walking in our city is a fun adventure.Fresh blueberries from the freezer tops my toasted English muffin with PB.Gyms have opened...and I decided to hit the Outdoors for today. Walking for fresh air🌺☀️.Dark Chocolate & Red Berries Organic granola, fresh blueberries, and yoplait for breakfast.Enjoying a quick lunch-time walk around the Mall. Yikes it’s empty compared to the usual bustle pre-‘Rona.Yesterday I started my WFH morning with 1 round of Sun Salutation & a brisk walk around the block.Needed a quick change this morning to perk myself up...sometimes a simple ‘Do ‘ll doI went out to check the mail, and decided to loop around the block just for the sake of getting extra steps. I admit I had a momentary internal debate😆.Today Iâ€™m making up for lost sleep with a good breakfast - Yoplait with frozen strawberries and Love Crunch Granola with chocolate, and yup, more strawberries.This Chia & Flax Cocoa Coconut Flavor is my new favorite add-in to yogurt or oatmeal. I’m trying it for the buzz about healthy hair, plus boost in fiber, minerals, and protein.I think he knows I ate his cousin salmon for lunch.Last nights dinner was chicken artichoke veggie soup with a side of garlic bread. Garlic bread disappeared in a flash.Wish I could spend more time out in the sun. Gotta get ready for work. Have a great day!!I meant to just check the mail but it was so nice outside (and cool) that I did a quick jaunt around the block.Our parks and beaches remain closed...sidewalks offer sunshine but dang it’s not the same.Ummm, I think I need a bigger bowl. I fortified my cereal with yogurt covered craisins and fresh blueberries. I think my first spoonful will cause an avalanche.Lunch in Kailua...I need to come out here more often!My Kailua Club looks yummy, but my son’s pepperoni pizza is quite distracting!I tried the Coca Cola with Coffee, Vanilla flavor. It was weird! I took another sip to give it another try. Yeeeeup that’s a nooooo.Why hello outdoors...nice to see you again.I walked to our Farmers Market. Yay! Out of my favorite bag of veggies. No! Came home to see my old man cat sunbathing. Awwwww.Good walk before breakfast. Don’t worry Ala Moana Beach, your still my #1. Hey, if you live near a park, and you’re not on a Stay At Home order, please visit it and soak in the fresh air. We miss that here in Honolulu.Glug, glug, glug...I must make my 8 cups water goal. There’s still time!Dinner was cheese tortellini in a garden salad with homemade spiced balsamic vinegar/ extra virgin olive oil dressing. Walked to and from work to get an errand done. Ahhh, the fountain water reminds me of the beach that’s closed.Ever had plans change last minute? Today, it meant I got to try a new place to walk! Whew was it 🥵 hot!!Eggplant and Tomato Masala with Garbanzo beans💕Sometimes a little “Extra” is what it takes to get out and get walking. Happy Hump day!!A speedy dinner brings a weary smile at the end of looooong day. Loin chop on a bed of super greens. My warm crusty bread sitting on the side.Helloooooo park, I missed you! It takes more work than I realized, but it’s so worth it and now I have enough for 3 more meals. I experimented with the dressing since I didn’t have tahini. My favorite is the marinade for my tofu after it’s cooked- EVOO, sriracha, and sesame seeds.I am struggling with fending off burnout. Luckily I must have energy reserves because I mustered enough to quickly go around the block while listening to one of my fave podcasts, Unlocking Us, with Brené Brown, before my work day started. Yay for small victories and hooray it’s Friday!!I just completed morning walk at Kapiolani Park. It feels good to finally be able to visit our parks. I need to build up my pace.Posted a photoMy first bicycle ride in years. Just shy if 8 miles, trying to get acquainted with my city bike. It’s fun!!I thought I got home too late from work and that I should take it easy tonight cuz I had an eventful weekend. Then I 😆 at my silliness and jumped on my bicycle for a quick sunset ride.Quick spin around Ala Moana Beach park. I think I went a little faster because I was afraid if the sun went completely down, Iâ€™d crash in a pot hole. I donâ€™t have a night light yet, LOL.Early morning bike ride felt good. As they day wore on, wow Iâ€™m feeling really drowsy. Or is that my 3 zoom meetings that zapped me?
It’s a good day today. Fought the desire to pull the blankets over my head. Now I have a clean home, more space, and put my butt on my 🚲 (yay!), before lunch. Whole Foods pasta salad on top Super Greens and pita chips.We had fun driving out to Halona Blowhole and taking the long way home. My day off was great!!1...2...3...4... yes, I may be hungry after road trip but I still count out the chips to keep to a fair serving😋We’re sprinkling Pumpkin Pie spice on everything, right?There’s a fire inside me...hello energy! So I hopped on my bike and greeted the sunrise before work. Little gang of ducks were a nice surprise😍I took a chance and tried something new...ooh, i actually like that! Golden Mind has 10g protein, almond milk, DHA Omega 3, MCT oil, turmeric, ginger, maca, and prebiotics.This year has proven thereâ€™s no such thing as too many set-backs, and our ability to rise above it all. I will focus on what I can do, not what I canâ€™t. Finding my balance outdoors this weekend. My son piloted my first flight with him. I was blown away!! We walked around Kapiolani Park and it’s great to see more people are out and about Waikiki.😋Love this on my yogurt with fresh fruit. Letâ€™s see, Christmas Eve I indulged, Christmas was quiet and beautiful, and today, I hopped on my bike in the morning sprinkle. It was a little chilly for me, 72 degrees or so.Let my car sleep in and walked to the store for my morning errands🚶♀️I decided Iâ€™d close all 3 rings when I woke up. After months of pure exhaustion, I didnâ€™t have a plan. I simply â€œstacked my activityâ€ with my usual stuff to minimize feeling overwhelmed. Wow, it worked! I have 13,662 steps, 6 miles, and 40 minutes exercise time. Iâ€™m definitely jazzed itâ€™s 2021.Walked to my first yoga 🧘🏻♀️ class for 2021. It was nice to realize conscious breathing can change emotions.
