Feeling yesterday's hike at Waipi'onut but not fatigue...calf is cramping up but otherwise ok and ready to walk/ swim today.

Walked with my backpack to Mauna Lani beach club. 40 minutes and more than 10 pounds. Snorkeling was a bust because husbands mask is too wide and leaks a lot...
This Year''s Selfie
Away at the shore . Skipped a long walk today. Oppressively muggy so just s mini and random squats, bicycle crunches, a few burpees.
My husband took this of me tracking my dinner.
Fresh air, ocean breezes, wild roses and 1 hr brisk walk.
In NY State . Walked along the Mowhawk River trail for one hour. Gorgeous !
Laundry, a bit of big box shopping, getting lost somewhere in NJ and an old fashioned diner. Are those gobblers ????![See this image larger]()

Another walk along Lake Ontario's shoreline trail.
What a miserable head cold. The scene and autumn leaves were spectacular but I am s drippy mess.
It was a miserable cold and landed in my sinuses, but today I feel well enough to go to the gym for a modified workout and lots if stretching. Yesterday I walked and the foliage is just past peak.
The walk today was under trees like this. 1 & 1/2 miles in perfect weather.

Six days drive across America. No tracking, no exercise, Spectacular !
I posted a blog with my sketch of the same tree using my scanner app, but it's sideways but now I think I know how to fix it. Still learning.

That trail was tough...we termed around after 44 minutes, most of it uphill and it was hot, no shade. 30 minutes back, steep and lots of sharp turns.
Thompson trail 2.5 miles easy, hills.
Bad nights sleep, but finally found our friends from Alberta and hiked on an easy upgrade for nearly two hours. Good company.
Super service at GM dealer in Palm Sorings for oil change plus. Walked 32 minutes to grocery for salad bar and veggie Thai rolls.
Busy days with friends and now getting ready for the ride home. Laundry room is next to the gym, and then a bit of sun in the pool area. Joshua tree was wonderful.
Drove through the Arizona desert. Beautiful vistas. Maybe 10 minute walk at a rest stop to see the Saguaro Cactus... And so tired
Morning stretch as the sun rises in Texas just east of El Paso. Doing everything to stay on track while spending hours in the car. Crazy weather.
Foggy and damp but still warm so no complaints. These are the grey days.
Slept like a baby ! Ready to walk along the shoreline of Puako. In the Hawaiian sun.
Glorious day in Waikoloa. Yesterday's scene up north at the head of a moderate trail... Down is easy, up isn't.
I can double step our stairs and do lunges st the same time. I think I invented a new lower body ex and save my knee all at once. It's better today.
These are the knee biting stairs, and I am up and down all day ! So I use them as modified side stepping combo crazy lunges.
So, the washer and dryer are kaput & arriving next week...but I have sunsets! And hand wash !
At the beach in Mauna Lani at a shallow inlet ...resting my knee. Walking and doing my GGRoutine
Quiet day and a little overcast but I welcome the chance to read , post, reflect on our lanai. Calm. Plumerias just starting. Spring in Hawaii.
Day at Turtle Point. No turtles but a few whales playing off the coast. My husband ( not a whale) is in there swimming.
Market day today. I posted one pic twice, and don't know how to delete my papaya lady. She was charging twice what my guy was ðŸ˜and would not budge on the price. Hmmmpjh ! Her bug was cute though.
Stroll along the shore yesterday. Swim today .
Very high surf again today with a dangerous rip. Walked s bit , but No swim.
Drive to Hilo. Long day in the car but made the best if a rest stop to walk quickly for 13 minutes. That plus ex with bands before we left .
Finally, the first real walk to the Hawaiian cemetery and down to the ocean. Lots of goats walking all over the ancient rock tombs.
Kona Mountain Grown

Yesterday was so perfect. AM floor work routine then a brand new beach park with a nice walk each way. Did it twice & then swimming.
From sea to shining sea.. Super windy and dangerous ocean conditions but I did my abs, butts, yoga on a towel.
The painting I see every day when I do my GG routine... Now 20 minutes of floor work, yoga, strength and stretch.
I jogged for the first time since my knee felt ok again. Just 7 minutes out of a 30 minute beach walk. Barefoot is best for me. Wonderful day!

Yesterday along the shoreline at Hualalai deep sand, high surf , hopping from lava rocks to tidal pools looking for treasures.
We have a friend, we call him Red for obvious reasons, but his female counterpart is just as lovely and no less vocal. Right there at our front door . Yes, Red, I did 4 miles.
Afternoon at a special cove completely protected from the sea. Walked plenty carrying my chair and bag plus learned a bit of hula. Oh boy. My abs are feeling it now.

We found a new trail ( 6 miles) and walked about half and back ( Saturday), and Yesterday walked the beach.
My new little friend. He eats the croutons that I must not. Housework today, and raking the leaf littler. Now off to swim : it will be an hour of activity all told.
Tracking and checking in, reading blogs but not posting for now. Stay strong !

At 9000 feet... Walking can be a little tough .
Soft air, a walk along a cliff, and getting my head straight preparing for re entry. Coffee for my sons grown by this guy! Also a great hugger !
Last day in Keauhou & super busy cleaning up, packing up, saying goodbye to neighbours and one final swim in our pool. Those are our lounge chairs waiting for us to come back.
Brilliant sun so walking in the neighbourhood.. We have lots of lovely gardens and flowering trees.
13000 plus so far today. I am a drippy soggy heap ... And ready for more.
Long walk at Edwards Gardens... About 1 1/2 hours.
Back in Maine . Walking daily despite wind and rain showers.
Doing lots of beach walking, this time in shorts and eating in really helps. About 6 miles today on this wide stretch. Barefoot.
Some walking but less than I need. Salad bar at Hannaford's for dinner . Breakfast today in Portsmouth NH...& shopping.
Last night in Maine.
Halfway home. Near Brattleboro , Vermont. Little diner, all home cooking, fresh eggs and greens from the kitchen garden.
One good day, then one exhausted. Still tired but much better and perhaps a moderate walk later. Meet the step dog, not much personality but cute.
Walked a bit for 1/2 hour in the gorgeous sunlight...And thanks to a Spark friend, I stopped by a tea shop and got some wonderful stuff . The staff were very cool !
Son safely aboard the train to Montreal. I'm walking to hair appointment .
Me ..
Sunday walk at Humber Bay plus another later = 6 + miles at a good pace. Beautiful park.
Cooler today, Lakeside walk 4 miles.
Walk at the Lakeshore then a skinny latte at the community centre after a quick shower.
Tracking all right but still on the plateau. Seems I have lots of company. No ex today. Stomachache ! Scenic spot for it🙄
Lovely walk along Ocean City Boardwalk. About 3 miles in less than an hour. Still to hot to jog/ run. Doing balance ex and push up each am. Husband bought pastry ..,I resisted !😎
Wells Beach walk. 2.4 miles.
Beach walk today. Sunny and cooler so easier going. Good day to fly a kite
News of my ex sister in law passing away today. Unsettling even though we'd been warned.
Perfect fall day. Walking today because my strength workout really hit my arms. Halfway and only 3 k.
Yesterday walked the 4 k to my pharmacist for a routine refil , and an additional I k to the subway/ bus . Knee is doing fine, but not on stairs .
So gloomy today, sideways rain. I walked as much as I could between appointments but the wind was brutal. One umbrella down. ☔ï¸ðŸŒ¨
On the highway of Heroes on the way to Kingston and Montreal.
Family frenzy, overtired parents, frantic kids, food ...never mind, it's not in my list, and today my stomach is saying 'leave me alone' ...& I'm listening. Nuageux a Montreal . ( cloudy )
Family frenzy, overtired parents, frantic kids, food ...never mind...not on my list, and today my stomach is saying 'leave me alone' ...& I'm listening. Nuageux a Montreal . ( cloudy )
Thinking of Spark Sister Deb landing in one of the best places on earth today. Let the magic heal !
At Humber Bay. Shortish walk with husband catching some November sun. More walking soon.
Traffic is mission impossible so no ravine but shoreline again. Barefoot Bubble Lady was out. Fun for all. Plus broken snow fence.
How about this spot for breakfast ? We shared a sandwich . At the crossroads of nowhere and lost . Blog will follow.
First desert hike with gradual elevation and the knee seems fine. Three miles.
Cool and sunny so perfect for hiking. Moderate climb of just under 4 miles.
Spent the day looking for a particular spa but got caught up in the annual Santa Claus parade. ''Tis the season !
Busy with friends, walking at Bear Creek yesterday. Today walking solo at a better pace- over an hour.
Beach boardwalk was busy today, lots of dogs and their humans having fun. The paths were clear, and not too windy.
Walking at Humber Bay. Super damp but got a brisk 30 minutes. Easy to speed up in the cold. Then we saw this bird.

I can almost see the church from our balcony but it was no fun driving out there. Going to be wet all week , but the trees, hedges and lawns were so brilliantly green it didn't matter . Here's to spring !
Sitting with my cafe au lait in the patio of our community centre... post workout.
My community centre will be demolished soon and we will loose our cafe , our garden , our fountains - our green space. Everything changes. How I dread looking for a new gym- I liked this place because of the sense of community.
Storms passing through, grey Father's Day, but squeezed in a workout. Cardio 40 min plus, abs, butts& stretch.
Storms passing through, grey Father's Day, but squeezed in a workout. Cardio 40 min plus, abs, butts& stretch. Today I changed my profile a little. Still me, but 2 years later.
Last nights Canadian sunset had me thinking over how I've changed over the last two years. Classes are out, leading fitness- out, so I've developed a new approach ... walk whenever , gym four times a week, cardio and stretch not negotiable, weights- twice or 3 sessions weekly.
Light years away from 15 direct hours instruction at several levels...not an easy transition but happy now with my new approach.
I have a lot to be thankful for ...a beautiful summer day and this guy.
This is functional
fitness at work .
Say good morning to functional fitness at work at the building next door.
Walking to mid town , 1 1/4 miles each way with a coffee break in the middle. The roads are ripped up because of a transit project.
Walking at Humber Bay...perfect weather. My favourite garden by the lake.
It's "the guys" party this evening . About 75 men of all ages somehow connected to our gym have a BBQ...he's thinking of how much shrimp he needs to bring.
Absolutely the very best watermelon I ever have tasted...grown in Texas and sold up here in Toronto . My go to snack . My fridge is split between my husband's high cal effort to regain , and mine to loose a few.
Walking instead of the gym today because my car is blocked in ...it happens but look what I have on my halfway point...
With no specific destination, we drive out of TO gridlock and stumbled on this little town trying to preserve its historic past.
Walking at The Beach 40 minutes...
Found these yesterday... very young and fresh grown locally plus local blueberries.
Today its major league ball. I'm lukewarm about it since we lost our Expos , but off we went to watch the Jays.
Got drenched today and cut my walk short...My shoes were squishy ...everything soaking wet. Actually it was fun because it was so warm. Then a great sun set.
Walk to bank of Credit River with friends
Sunday at the Farmers Market , seemed to be all organic and within 100k. We got red shallots, garlic, cucumbers, and white salad turnips that seem like radishes. Lots of families, dogs, and music.
If you want someone to bring home dinner for you...send him to this Middle Eastern " to go" place that will broil your chicken or fish , leave your salad dressing free, and toss in fresh whole wheat pita......so fresh and delicious.
Visit to family at their cottage on Lake Simcoe. The highway was packed all the way , but finally green fields. They have a large garden. This is part of it,
More of that garden
We walked today down at the Lakeshore. Both of us a little slow. My ankle, husbands foot, but we walked perhaps 40 minutes. Near the butterfly garden.
Walking 40 minutes each way to my health food store. Lovely gardens along the way.
Brown rice veggie sushi
Brunch out today. Bee- leaguered by bees on an outdoor patio . One fell into our cream jug...abd I swatted it - cream everywhere. Well, I still had my skim. Expensive and skimpy but my latte was stellar and we saw the air show and the snowbirds fly past.
This is the shop where i dropped off a pair if character dance shoes that are at least 25 years old. The shoemaker promised he can restore them. His shop is tiny - a little and counter and all this leather.
Walk at Humber Bay.
I have been so tired lately. Not at my best and not sleeping well however hanging on and had a very nice. day outdoors today walking and at a Ukrainian Street Festival.
Opted to just walk today. Over 4 miles and my first walk this year on the Belt line. And who left this message ?
Yesterday's trek into the suburbs to a special orchard was funny - not open. (!) Somehow my husband charmed the owner who tried to chase him off the property. I have apples ! And...
Its terribly hot here. Upside down weather ! At least I could walk in the shade on the Beltline.
Still warm here in the north. Perfect for a walk along the shores of Lake Ontario.
Now visiting the Capital Region, New York state. Fall colours near the Mohawk River - stunning.

Such good weather at the Jersey Shore. Beach walk - barefoot.
The early darkness is beginning to get to me. November is full of changes because of the time, the colder weather, night frosts, and the prospect of snow. Getting all my winter gear ready.
Zero activity to track except cleaning , and today I head out for the flu shot. Snow predicted overnight so I hope to get a mini walk in while it’s still nice out.
Why, you may ask, is a part of a highway unfinished ( its been years !) and headed to my hotel... the city us under renovation - totally nuts.
But food wise. - doing ok.
Rock Divide , Near Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Pretty, but no fun driving. It’s snow people, so slow down .
This is the Canadian landscape we leave behind tomorrow. Looking forward to the Mojave and a little warmth.
Relentless Determination...who coined that ? I am forever grateful to that Spark person. Today I ordered a lunch- a delicious tuna salad, dressing on the side, ate half. The couple near us ordered chicken, waffles - and inundated both with honey... 1/4 of the squeeze bottle. Dangerous sugar bomb - please don’t do that people.
The highway was simply a parking lot. A 45 minute drive took two hours...and we were told all the way to LA...so we left the mob and crossed the Mohave and took the old Utah trail and the adobe road.
My trees may give way to desert landscaping. I hope they spare these in the effort to save water.
This old is just plain awful. Not up to anything but lazing around in the desert sun. Not sunbathing, defrosting. It’s a Canadian thing.
This Cold, although this” old “ has something to do with it. And here is my tree - spared so far.
My tree, no idea what kind it is. The resort is changing all the plants for local desert species to save water. Lots of other changes too. I like many of them. New man in charge and his staff are happier than ever.
Walk at an oasis at the San Andreas Fault...to the pond and back a 2 mile loop. Walking in sand is fun.
The view from our little patio where I have my tea and read the morning paper. We are off to the street fair today. I always buy raisins. It’s a fun busy scene.
Part of the Lytton trail , moderate level. You can do 10 miles to the top...strenuous. Not for us today ....just under a mile each way enjoying the scene.
Finally, after battling the most peculiar cold ever, I am feeling well enough to hit the gym for an abbreviated workout. Tomorrow we will do a modest hike. Yesterday’s was only a tourist meander near Joshua Tree - watching my son scale a small rocky hill.
This is supposed to be 1/2 a salad with grilled salmon. Really ?I ate less than half .
Oh my goodness... this hot dry air has claimed another victim. Now my son is sick. They have not said anything on tv about the air quality. That looks like smoke to me, we are not that far away from the wildfires. Not walking today.
That’s how i feel - all dried up. My son has his version of “the cold” & my poor husband is surrounded. We didn’t do much today. Leaving for dinner out soon.
Whitewater Preserve. Near the Pacific Crest. We walked along the valley floor.
Our friend : happy to be at Whitewater Preserve on a gorgeous day ...and I totally forgot to eat breakfast. Ohoh. Walking miles on a cup@of tea and swig of juice. What was I thinking ?
Amended post... I did walk outside and only 20 min was facing the winds. Not so bad. But why are these guys in the desert ???
I am going to weigh in next week at home after 32 days away. If you hear screaming, it’ll be me😜.
There is a certain nervous energy as we count down to the big day...I will find some time today to regroup, exercise, and avoid the holiday frenzy. This Kinesthesia art did it for me.
I set out to do 40 minutes and walked and jogged 4 miles in just over an hour . I am thrilled !
Lunch on my little patio.
Not Santa...
It’s a gingerbread house in a Jewish Deli. And why not ?
Home in 3 hrs and 57 minutes ! Cold but not impossible. Palm Springs Airport...
OK...I am not screaming about the readout on my scale after over one month of vacation. Less than a two pound gain but I was over my ideal when we left. I am on it and going to get healthy groceries.
Even Vader is asking if he myst go out in this brutal cold. I can’t remember weather this severe. I am out today but will stay indoors tomorrow. Opportunity to clear up 2017 paperwork.
Stunning moonrise as I left the gym but clouds obscured the 3:30 am view. Pictures don’t do it justice. Home, packing, trying to get my steps in.
Travel. Planes , automobiles, shuttle busses, and after 2 nights in SoCal to defrost, and a decent 5 hour hop to Hawaii, we are in Hawaii. Wild storms- it’s winter here. Sunset number one.
One minute sun, one minute rain...walking instead of swimming. Crazy sky.
Walking today in deep sand. One way in sneakers, one wave got me ... harder barefoot. About an hour. This turtle was faster than me today.
In the condo and somewhat settled in. Unstable air over our county...pouring rain now.
Over the week I’ve been doing pushups, band ex upper body, and running up and down our stairs , but no recorded steps unless I have my cell, even then it misses lots . Cloudy here, so housework.
A little cloudy today so lots of housework. This is who gets my breakfast toast. Then scrubbing those tiles.., ugh, but nothing else gets them clean. Now a walk to pick up veggie roll sushi.
Don’t park under a coconut palm. Not my car, but the neighbor’s...glass everywhere. Otherwise a pretty good day to walk. Plus my band ex and squats.
What do you do with an old airstrip ? Plant a community garden with a walking/ jogging path. Twice around for me today. 33 minutes , 1.5 miles.
Beach walk and wading in tidal pools in ideal weather, and of course my morning push ups, body weight exercise. Whatever I can fit in. Lots of running up and down the stairs in the condo.
Another walking day after Sunday breakfast out. The view from here is amazing even on a cloudy day. Perfect for a long walk.
Where we walk these days
This fellow is part of a family of geckos whose job it is to keep me on my toes. We set him outside on the lanai. Tiniest one I’ve seen.
Rain they said - wrong again. Perfect day and shoreline trail. About 2.5 miles.
The market in Hilo is best on Saturday and Wednesday. A bag of four giant papaya for $2 and decent prices for vegetables. It’s a long drive for us but so much fun.
Another special day i Hawaii in the town of Captain Cook, they grow wonderful produce, and coffee of course. All on an old lava flow.
Somehow I missed a day of tracking though I do remember what I ate. We had torrential rains, so no walk. Boo.
Walking at the shoreline.
One early sweaty 2.5 miles, condo party, another walk at dusk..,another mile or so. The mango tree is full of fruit-almost ready.
Two walks is the answer for me. I was on my own earlier today for a standard 30 minutes, and after lunch we set out for the Hawaiian Cemetery,! Hard to see but the graves are there and kapu...off limits.
Long beach walk and short ocean swim...thunder, lightening, a downpour, then sun again.
On the beach today for our traditional walk to the breakwater in Well’s Me. Our first sunny day since arriving. This was York Long Sands yesterday.
Cooler today at the shore but perfect for walking - tide is way out.
Too nice to be indoors, and the Conservation lady tending the Butterfly garden identified my mystery butterfly visitor - Voila , The Painted Lady
This green thing, oops drink, is looking back at the drinker.
Attended Yoga today. Gentle but effective - I’m loose as a goose, and gym buddy gave me a bag of tomatoes , basil, parsley, and a cucumber with the words, Mangia Con Salute...eat with health !
Thunder and lightening, very very frightening ( Freddy Mercury ) . Nearly list my coffee, I jumped !!!
It was a Seven Bunny Day on the trail...
Walking at Humber Bay Shores... they grew a few condo towers.
Dim Sum lunch, tofu snack and shopping at the Chinese fruit and veg stand. Then a walk with the goose at the park. Zero mph🙄
Changed my fitness approach. Intervals today, shorter weight circuit, good stretch plus abs. Then drove home in all this colour.
Monday. Easy one hour walk with minimal elevation. About 3 miles then to buy new trail shoes. Bone dry until a freakish flood last month.
Today we did Dead Indian Canyon. About 3 miles. The last few boulders worried me enough ( my knee ) so I turned back, my husband did the top view.
At the Cove in La Quinta. Gradual easy trail with stops over 90 minutes.
We now have a brand new workout room, double the size of the old one with plenty of treadmills, ellipticals, rowing machines and TRX plus free weights. I did my first workout today. It was like s private gym.
Moderate walk today in the Santa Rosas. We stopped often to enjoy the views.
Moderate walk with some elevation. We took it slow so we could enjoy the scenery.
From time to time things go a little less smoothly. Today started off badly with an email exchange with my son...moving on.
A day at Sunny lands walking in the Gardens. This estate is Camp David West.
My son is celebrating his birthday today, thousands of miles away. Not a cowhand, just fooling around.
Today just flew by. I have to track the whole day’s food and activity. Street fair , then the art museum, then a party and dancing.
Completely overcast today - no hike but a walk on El Paseo. No purchases but look at this beauty... like my Dad’s car, and same colour.
Today’s hike was not great.,Littered with broken glass, dog poop everywhere and so so views . My tracker said 20 staircases, so up up up, and down on a sharply graded poorly marked path. Never again.
Walked today all by myself, so very nice in perfect weather. A cool sunny day.
Posted a photo
Still wet on Big Island but this does wonders for skin. The geckos are back and today one hitchhiked on our ride to town. Did the BP and weight machine at Pharmacy so I can track progress here.
One of my favorite ways to spend a morning - at the Old Airport Beach Park and walking/ jogging path lovingly tended by volunteer gardeners.
Walk to the Hawaiian Burial ground at “ the end of the world” jump off point. Too windy today for that leap off a cliff. One lonely fisherman off in the dustance. Tough walk up those hills.
Yesterday in the Farmer’s Market a man gave me this Protea. Beautiful snd tough...my ideal.
OK...Ken’s is not an easy place to cut back on calories. It’ll be a very light salad for supper , if I can make past TEX Drive In and fresh Malasadas. Oh me oh my , but worth the drive.
My knee seems to be slowly improving. We walked to a favourite spot to see the Captain Cook Monument.
Sometimes I feel like this old jeep.
Watched a Webinar on Nutrition today, but nit very much is new except new guidelines will come out in 2020. Spring is here !
Beach walk on the lava, slower than usual.
The community garden path. Very hot in the sun rven after 2 pm. Three miles in all.
Snow in Montreal, cold and cloudy in Toronto absolutely perfect here in Kona. Do I feel guilty ? Maybe just a little.
It was a four turtle day. Walked in deep sand for an hour. What a workout.
One of the reasons we will fight through traffic and spend time looking for a parking spot. On a marathon Sunday there was lots
of congestion but then we walked and saw this swan gliding aling.
Walked on the beach at low tide. Found a boulder at Drakes Island.
The tennis is taking our attention this morning, but I will walk. Preferably where there is a garden. Yes ! Wilket Creek in the middle of the city. One hour.
I have three of these on my 8 th floor balcony garden ! Not Monarchs.
Lots of Monarchs today everywhere we looked. Made our walk special.
Walking, driving , getting lost, finding our way, summer weather.
Last day at the Jersey Shore. Walking every day in the sun .
Cool start to the Thanksgiving weekend, but compensated by brilliant colour.
Better organized than I thought. Countdown to flight day begins.
We took a chance and drove down to The Beach. The lake is greenish and quiet now. Wonderful walk outdoors.
It is day 1 in the desert after a good sleep. Not used to the heat and will begin with daily limber up stretches. No hikes planned til we acclimate.
My walk last evening at sundown. It was still very warm and I was dripping wet. The moon was lovely to see.
Our desert walk today. No snakes but very hot
Rain. It was thundering up in the Santa Rosas - not wise to risk a cloudburst so back to home base and the gym.
Very active day yesterday , yoga morning, Costco run, walk at sundown.
Walk on a trail with loose pebbles had me going slower than usual. One hour snd twenty minutes.
Woke up to snow covered mountains..And it is quite cold.
My choices have dramatically improved by taking whatever I feel is appropriate for me. ie. Lowest possible simple carbs, more fruit, more veg, some vegetarian days.
Someone tossed a couple of grapefruit at us from this yard. We were on the path, but I guess they got annoyed.
Our two grapefruit walk ! My husband was tickled pink with the ‘gift’ of these two puppies
Tuesday with the guys. One Ironman, one old fit pro, one writer dedicated to fitness.
All day shopping , seven stores... oh my. But son got everything on his list. One last item held over til tomorrow. I ran out of steam.
Time does fly, especially when a cold morphs into a flu. In bed all day yesterday but out today . Short walk and now a latte at Sunnylands estate.
Lingering gut episodes but feeling much improved. Up and out today in coolish but gorgeous weather. Son is home now.
Just too cold today... 43 degrees. We have a breakfast date with friends who leave in two days, and a planned walk may not happen...the old knee is cranking after the last two desert hikes.
Today, tomorrow, Monday...then we leave the desert. I’m in a reflective mood.
Most grateful for the words of encouragement. The issue is beyond my control and stacked on top of others. Piled high and deep, but I dig deep every day to stay positive. My surroundings do help.
Drive to the Salton Sea today. Checked on my dwarf orange tree- loaded with blossoms. Later a walk in the neighborhood... crazy windy.
Happy Days Before the Pandemic
I changed the profile because it is more recent ( 3 months ) & once again my hair is too long. But I am back to pre- travel weight despite the Quarantine.
day 21 of my streak for "Log in and spin the SparkPoints wheel" earned 4/10/2020
day 21 of my streak for "Log in and spin the SparkPoints wheel" earned 4/10/2020
. Not too happy when human is working. Looks peeved. Charley Cat supervising son’s work. We got out today... great walk.
Within 10 pounds of my goal, but am aiming for a loss of 12- 15 pounds. Taking a slow steady approach.
Just back from a moderate walk... My hibiscus are in their second bloom, with more buds on the plant.
Outdoor seating at a mid Town Starbucks. Now off for my salon date.
Up til 4 am... worried, but hoping for the best, and trying to do IF. My hibiscus are blossoming.
They call these riffles.A stream along the Don Valley that empties into Lake Ontario. Walked well over an hour, including stairs.
This bug was hanging around my hibiscus and I prodded it off ... Uninvited guest. Doing my Intermittent fast. First food will be at 3 pm . 16 plus hours.
The playing field at Sunnybrook. Four soccer fields and encircled by a path for horses and people walking from exercise station to station.
Just not up to it today. Allergy time and a bit tired, but I’m setting out for a walk. My mother never overate and stayed the same weight all her life- and walked everywhere.
My mother, this time with her head on. The same weight all her life.
Big backyard to deal with. Husband and step daughter making plans. Dropped off books and then headed to Sunnybrook to do the stairs.
3.6 miles in the heat today. Probably should have turned around earlier.
There it was, with the sound of traffic in the distance... in the middle of a huge city.
This is an iconic painting of the Rockies... maybe, maybe I can go west to BC in a couple of months...not to ski, just to be.
A perfect autumn day.
A walk out to the neighborhood fruit snd veg store, and to drop off a couple of books at the Little Library.
Bye Bye Casey
