yoyoma1 year ago I weighed 171.
Today I weigh 195.
BUT, I maintained that through the second half of the year even without tracking.
I was dangerously close to leaving Onederland at one point, but barely stayed under.
My high 4 years ago was 299.
Initial goal weight is 185, and all my clothes fit.
Stretch goal is 169.
Wonder if 2019 is the year I finally reach that? :)This blonde has been having more fun. It’s been awhile since I’ve gotten one of these!Happy Mother’s Day! Got to hang out with my mom and my sons all day long. It was hot but we had a blast.
Time to get them settled in bed soon.I've heard blondes have more fun. One can hope that's true cause I need more fun in my life.2014 was my highest weight. It’s been a roller coaster since then. I still weigh about 185, but I’m trying not to get upset by regains (15lbs eep), because I have come so far only by not giving up. No judgment, just Data.
Progress, not perfection.
Habits, not motivation.
Weight loss is made in the kitchen, not the gym.My hair keeps getting longer! I've missed it!I feel this graphic...Starting BMI was 45.5, current is 26.0 (below 25 is ‘normal’ but I am THRILLED being ‘overweight.’).
128lbs gone. I logged my food, even when over budget, and blogged out my feelings instead of eating or drinking them.Small portions of my favorites and I brought mini-desserts. Even if I had over indulged, like I did last year, I didn’t get hung up on it. I should cook turkey again soon, though.Fighting the urge to eat when I know I’m not hungry. The stress is temporary. The 8lb weight regain was temporary (5 of that is gone again, I can recover). Even when I DO overeat, I’m not beating myself. I STILL track everything. It’s just Data, not a moral judgement. I would go over worse if I didn’t.My sister drew my mom's garden to surprise her with a custom 60th birthday cake. The actual 'gnome home' tree is in the background of my last photo. Turned out great!!!Sis & I threw mom a 60th bday party.
Great day out!!! 😍👍🏼
Even after such a long, busy day, my youngest didn't want to leave. Can't blame him, if it weren't for school tomorrow, I would've wanted to stay longer.125lbs down! 5lbs to go! Size 24 to size 10. :-oWOO! Bought size 10 pants on clearance, finally able to zip them up today! Size 24 on the left.
Thanks to Sparkpeople for helping me change my habits!
#deliciousdailymomentWOOHOO! Today's milestone, my annual average weight is finally in Onederland!Doing a little prep today. Choripollo on SparkRecipes. Turkey + pork chorizo + extra seasoning. Portion it out into 4oz servings in freezer baggies. Great to add to omelettes, tacos, mix with beans for a burrito, top a salad, add to pasta with veggies, etc.
#deliciousdailymomentTreated myself to buffalo chicken dip tonight... lovely little splurge.
#deliciousdailymomentGot uptight for a minute at my son's open house... till I realized another NSV... I can fit in student desks no problem now!
#deliciousdailymomentDay5 of my 30 day push-up challenge is a rest day. Are my bingo wings shrinking yet? Lol
(Just downloaded a free 30 day challenge app.)
#deliciousdailymomentCutting the cord more with my controlling ex... had to make all my social media private. Wish me luck that he finds a better hobby than following my every move...
120lbs down in 2 years. Taking back my life.
#deliciousdailymomentHaven't been pushing myself so I'm starting a 30 day push-up challenge.
#deliciousdailymoment2014 - 20152017 - finally able to start rebuilding my wardrobe!I paid ONE DOLLAR for this shirt and $5 for these shorts.
Shopping is a lot more fun that it was 2 years & 120lbs ago!
#deliciousdailymomentis in the 170s for the first time since 20s!!!Went swimming and running around with my sons and other family yesterday. I kept up! Not even tired.
My teenager can throw his brother farther than I can, though, need more arm work!
#deliciousdailymomentWOO! At my lowest weight ever on Sparkpeople. I joined in 2007 at 184 and got down to 181 before completely derailing and hitting a high of 299 seven years later.
Today? I'm at 180, so, I'm finally back on track from 2007. 😏 Never give up.
lol I haven't had any scale movement this month, and it flashed to 179, which got me way too excited. But, it settled here, and I'm happy.
#deliciousdailymoment280 calorie breakfast. Chicken sausage and egg beaters. I wouldn't normally do the hashbrown, but I'm out of freggies and need to go shopping.
#deliciousdailymomentI love being able to shop clearance! $12 outfit. From a 24/XXL to a 12/M!
#deliciousdailymoment287calories and 26 grams of protein.
My favorite French toast breakfast sandwich! Kids had them, too (along with the last of our cut up fruit).
#deliciousdailymomentMade bean burritos and had fresh fruit with it to round out breakfast. So easy when it's cut up and waiting for me.
#deliciousdailymomentI used to do 2500 easy here. Tonight? 630. Progress, not perfection. Compromise, not denial.
#deliciousdailymomentData doesn't lie. In the past 3mos, my activity has been half of usual. Gotta crank it back up to keep progressing!!! #sweatyselfie #deliciousdailymomentSaw this pillow today and had BOTH! 275 calorie pizza, thanks to 50cal tortilla as the crust, turkey pepperoni and measured semi-skim cheese.
Made a bunch for the freezer for easy meals.
#deliciousdailymomentMajor NSV! Today was my final closet cleanout. Went from 24/XXL to 12/M and have been working backward through my wardrobe. Today, the last few items fit and larger items have been removed!
#deliciousdailymoment🤣🤣🤣Zucchini, onions, coconut aminos, egg beaters and cheese. Around 200 calories for one quarter. Yummy. Breakfasts for 4 days. #deliciousdailymomentMom brought me home grown potatoes, peppers and onions... gotta make hash browns for the family. #deliciousdailymoment2.5 years and 114lbs difference.
185 from 299.SSDD - 2 1/2 years, 114lbs difference
185 from 299WOOOO! Started in Dec 2014, had regains and stalls, but, FINALLY REACHED MY GOAL WEIGHT TODAY!!!
#deliciousdailymomentI was only 1 pound from goal, and then the scale went up 2.5lbs!!! It's so frustrating. BUT I think about all the times the scale has stalled in the time it took me to lose over 100lbs. And I'm still fitting into my new size 12 jeans. 👖
#deliciousdailymomentShrimp tacos in 50 calorie tortillas. Quick and easy with bagged Asian slaw mix (no crunchy bits) #deliciousdailymoment #mobilechatMushroom Swiss burger, 282 calories. Better than fast food. #mobilechat #deliciousdailymomentWent for a run before my next meeting, also got blood drawn to retest my thyroid, since I've lost more weight and am feeling symptoms again. #deliciousdailymomentToday my "trainer" was encouraging me to push myself. I did 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups and 30 seconds in a plank (where he corrected my form).
I couldn't believe I held the plank and REALLY couldn't believe I could do 10 sit-ups! Hadn't tried that in years and it had been a struggle for me.
Running must've helped more than I realized.
#deliciousdailymoment #mobilechatMy younger son is helping me with stretches and encouraged me to do my first plank today!
#mobilechat #deliciousdailymomentScored some shrimp on sale... add some chili lime seasoning and it makes for a nice evening snack. #mobilechat #deliciousdailymomentNot my most balanced dinner, but cajun crab stuffed mushrooms are right around 300 calories.
#mobilechat #deliciousdailymomentNSV - painted my toenails without having to gasp for breath even once. My son told me to put hearts on them!
#deliciousdailymoment320 calorie breakfast. Whole grain bread, egg whites, chicken sausage and the last of my favorite ever Rainier cherries. Oh and Mrs Butterworth's sugar free syrup isn't too bad.
#deliciousdailymomentBusy with work but made time for my run anyway. 3.5mi! A year ago it would've been 2.5 in the same time span. #deliciousdailymomentAbout a 400 calorie breakfast with bits and pieces from the fridge. Yummy stuff.
(I add spices to my egg whites to try to fool my eyes into thinking these are real eggs. Lol)
#deliciousdailymomentNew convenience prep. Nine - 275 calorie supreme pizzas parbaked for the freezer. Hope they reheat well because they're really good fresh.
The crusts are 50 calorie Ole Exteme Wellness tortillas, with turkey pepperoni and lots of diced veggies.
#deliciousdailymoment #mobilechatOut with the family all evening. They're getting pizza.
I brought food from home to resist temptation.
620 calories for 3 turkey/quinoa tacos on low carb 60 calorie tortillas. I'd usually have 2, but had a small breakfast.Quick lunch, came out to about 300 calories. 70 for whole grain bread, 80 for cheese, 90 for ham.
#deliciousdailymomentWent shopping for a bathing suit and didn't hate it.
The excess skin gets me down sometimes, but, fitting into Medium on a Clearance rack instead of full price for an XXL I don't even like, and feeling strong every day makes up for it.
Got this new tank top while I was out.
#deliciousdailymomentLove taking the time to treat myself to a nice, homemade breakfast. 🍳 #deliciousdailymoment200 calorie pizza. Tortilla - 60, 1/4cup cheese = 90, turkey bacon = 30, sauce mushroom onion = maybe 20.
Took a bite before my picture. Lol. I could work sausage or turkey pepperoni or real bacon into this. A pure veggie supreme pizza would be good, wonder if I could batch cook these for the freezer to make the veggies purchase worth it?188 today! This journey has had its ups and downs (in every sense), but, I've adopted good, sustainable changes.
#deliciousdailymomentWow... got a new Fitbit badge today.187lbs today means I lost 100lbs in 65weeks.
2-4 weeks at a time I would have no losses, but eventually they came.
Progress, not perfection.
Habit, not motivation.
Digital food scales help improve accuracy.
More details on my sparkpage blog.
#deliciousdailymoment#mobilechatNow at my lowest weight ever on SparkPeople! 110lbs down today! WOOHOO.WOOHOO!!! Scale hadn't budged in a month (I was eating high), but I'm FINALLY in the 180s!
#mobilechatHealthy Life bread is 35cals a slice. I freeze my loaf in 2slice bags so it doesn't go bad before I can eat it.I measured and logged all of my food and drink for 365 days and lost 83lbs.
I didn't stay in budget every day, but most days.
So happy to have the SparkPeople app & site.
#mobilechatday 365 of my streak for "Track food or water" earned 7/5/2017SSDD. One year and 83lbs ago, my friends sent me a funny shirt after the first (of many) time my soon-to-be-ex-husband yelled obscenities at me while I was called into a client meeting. I've come a long way in the past year, taking back my power, and I can't wait to hear what the next year brings!!!
#mobilechatOnly 5lbs from my original goal weight but have been hit with major hunger this past week. Really made bad choices with beer and poutine and BBQ and eating high, above my range even with my usual foods. BUT woke up today at only 1/2lb gain. I got lucky and back to my routine today.
#mobilechatMeal prep before the heat of the day hits. De-skin the chicken before portioning into freezer bags. Broccoli my mom grew for me!
#mobilechat210 calorie breakfast sandwich. Darned tasty.
Used a flavored light cheese wedge instead of sliced cheese. Chicken sausage instead of pork. Bagel thins instead of bagel or croissant. And I add a bit of Cuban seasoning for color in my egg whites.
Tip: the whole grain bagel thins have the same amount of protein and fiber as the white bagel thins, so don't forget to compare.
#mobilechatUsed cod and Asian slaw to make fish tacos tonight on low carb tortillas. Less than 450 calories for 3 tacos.
Mild taste, great meal on a hot day.A year is a long time. 84lbs down makes it worth it to be consistent over time that would pass anyway.
I admit, I like these Facebook throwbacks that remind me how far I've come and remind me to push harder to reach my goals
180's, I'm coming for you!!!
#mobilechatTried on size 12 today and they fit! Also Medium leggings! Two things I wouldn't have seen 14 months ago as a 24/XXL! BONUS: Both on clearance! I need to buy a lotto ticket.
#mobilechatThe pic on the left came up, so I did a SSDD. 4 years difference. Maybe 80lbs?
#mobilechatday 666 of my streak for "Log in and spin the SparkPoints wheel" earned 6/19/2017Egg, bacon and quinoa fritter. Filling breakfast for about 250 calories. #mobilechatStay cool! 😎 #mobilechatSSDD. Same shirt, different day. 2 years and 100+ pounds apart.
#mobilechat Logging my calories accurately, staying in budget more days than not. And blogging my feelings instead of binging in the kitchen.I had not seen my ex in about 2 years and 105lbs. I saw him today.
... he actually stuttered. 😏👍🏼
Feeling good is its own reward and I am doing this for me and no one else and was obviously just as much of a catch before as I am now... but, there is a unique pleasure in having a 'revenge body'.
You had your chance, loser!ZOMG! Fun surprise of the day, I found two dresses in the back of my closet that I'd forgotten about. I haven't been able to wear these since college!Took the kids out today... don't even care about all the extra skin on my thighs and stomach. Just happy we're all smiling. (we're attempting to sit on a rather slippery turtle sculpture.)
Like seriously, I'm wearing shorts! No one at all has died from looking at my veins, saggy skin & stretchmarks!
#mobilechat1 Year and 86lbs difference between me and this photo Facebook dredged up today.
Getting close to goal and glad I didn't give up on myself.
#mobilechatFacebook throwback posts might've made me disgruntled before... now they make me proud!
I don't even recognize the lady on the left anymore...
#mobilechatSame shirt, different day. 2 years and 101lbs difference.Woohoo! Scale finally budged for the first time in weeks.
I KNOW that if I keep measuring and logging my food, eventually the weight will go down again... but, it's still sooo hard to wait for it to happen.
My starting BMI was 45.5, currently I'm at 30.7.
So close to being Overweight instead of Obese.
AND soooooo close to Onederland.
#mobilechatMy mom posted a video from my birthday a couple years back. I couldn't resist taking a screenshot for comparison.
And this difference is why I keep logging my calories every day!
#mobilechat2 years and 90lbs difference
(299 & 209)
Same shirt, different day (SSDD)March 2017 (212), October 2016 (238) and March 2015 (299)Feeling a little vain... I can't stop staring at my comparison photos!Same shirt, different day
Two years and 90lbs difference
#mobilechatSSDD. 1 year and 43 lbs apart.Size 24, size 16.
I'll have to retire my LBD soon for being too big on me.277 in 2015, 238 in 2016 (11 months difference)has a BMI of 28.9 (started at 45.5).NICE! Perfect idea? Half hour walk followed by a hot bath! #mobilechathas a new FitBit badge!Broke my prior streak having dental surgery back in October, and building it up again.Took a 3mi walk, without my foot wrap. That used to cause excruciating pain just walking around the house without it. Of course, I've lost like 80lbs since I started wrapping my foot (and 102 since I started walking a lot 2 years ago and discovered the pain).
Pretty big NSV doing rough terrain for that long with no pain! (Aside from my bad knee, but that always hurts lol.)
#mobilechatOnly 5lbs from goal?!?! I've been at this since 2014 and kinda can't believe I've gotten this far!
Starting BMI of 45.5, current BMI of 28.9.I'M OVERWEIGHT!!!
OMFSM, I never thought I'd see the day.
Started in 2014 with a BMI of 45.5 (Obese Class III), and today I'm down to a BMI of 30.0 (Overweight).
My goal weight is 185 (I'm 5'8"), which is in the Overweight range.
I don't think I'd care for being Normal (125-164), but, we'll see how I feel once I get to goal and how I maintain.BACK IN ONEDERLAND!!!
Still remember being in chat over a year ago and seeing others post their victories. It helped keep me going.
My ex-husband is stressing me out, which steals some of my happiness from the victory and knowing I'm not going as healthy on this as I had been. ~sighs~
Whatever, 101lbs down. ONE MORE and I'll be overweight instead of Obese!!!
#mobilechatACK!!! The scale flashed to 199 for a second before settling on 201. Sooooooo close.
On the plus side, at least it moved again. According to the MyWeight app, I'm 97% through my goal, time-wise. That's nice to think.
#mobilechatI live on a hill but the flooding is cutting me off from the rest of civilization for a few days. Got in plenty of steps today walking down the hill to the river and back up, a couple times.
Hope the kids don't drive each other nuts while they're off school and I'm trying to work.
#mobilechat300 days and 71lbs.
Okay, I did not stay within calorie budget all 300 of those days. BUT, I did track everything, so I knew when I went over and by how much, quickly forgave myself and got right back on plan without punishing myself.
#mobilechatMeal prep! Less than 400 calories apiece. (Whole grain pasta, marinara sauce, ground turkey, quinoa, and 1/4 cup of cheese.)
#mobilechatTreated myself to French toast grilled cheese. 350 calories.
Chicken sausage, egg whites, whole grain bread and a nice, melty cheese.
#mobilechat550 calories for two burgers my way, 900 calories the way my teenager prepares his... but even his way is half of a restaurant burger and lower in saturated fat.
I cut a turkey burger in half to make 2 and used one slice of cheese for both burgers on 80 calorie whole grain buns. Used a sauce of lite sour cream, ketchup, relish and seasoning instead of mayo like I'd usually do.
Really tasty and filling.
#mobilechatSo, my soon-to-be-ex-husband emptied all our accounts and I haven't been grocery shopping yet as I first have to pay off the credit card charges he left me with... SO digging in the freezer it is! The boys and I had lobster tonight. Delicious.
#mobilechatIt's almost Shark Week, but, it's okay to have a pint of this ice cream for lunch.
Definitely a better splurge than Ben&Jerry's.
#mobilechatBreakfast on the run?
Brought my own burritos with half the calories, fat and carbs of the McDonald's version.
Low carb tortillas, egg beaters, diced bacon, mushrooms and cheese.Today's NSV... I've lost enough weight to remove my wedding band without trouble.
... which I know because my soon-to-be-ex-husband got served with our divorce papers today, so I figured I'd give it another try.
I know the process won't be easy and he's promised to make it harder, but, I'm relieved it is finally happening. I should've done it years ago.
#mobilechatOnly 10lbs from being overweight! I'm getting so excited. (I'm 5'8")
Birthday week the scale jumped up 7lbs!!! It finally came back off and I am down a new lb today.
When I hit 199, that will not only be my return to onederland, but will also mark 100lbs lost.
#mobilechatPizza with no sauce. I love the recipes people have been sharing of grain free pizzas. So, I took the ingredients and made one. Zucchini, chicken, egg beaters, mozzarella and Parmesan. That's it. Nice and easy (except draining the zucchini lol) and low cal.Two days straight running up and down trails with my boys. No huffing or puffing or resting for me!
#mobilechatI have been told by three people in the past month how much younger I look. ???? #NSV #mobilechatKeep telling myself, DO NOT JADE! This is still pretty snug, so I can't wear it just yet, but, I'm getting closer.
It's a size 10 dress (with pockets!), and I was wearing a 24 at the beginning.
I've got 5 dresses in this size that I am looking forward to wearing.
I fit into it sooner than expected and bought other dresses in the next size down.NSV! Took the metro train to the airport this morning. Ran up two flights of stairs without breaking a sweat and beat the crowd on the escalator!
Last April when I was out here in SF, 75lbs heavier, I struggled to keep up with my older coworkers just walking around town.
What a difference a year makes.I lost a whole human! 66lbs down!Uploaded more comparison pics in my last blog. Good to see proof of my progress.

BMI of 30.7, so only 5lbs from being overweight. I don't track gains. Finally saw some scale movement this week. Now at 209lbs, though I am wearing smaller pants than I was last time I was 20lbs lighter, so I know I am fit and strong now!
90lbs down, only 9lbs from Onederland and 12lbs from being Overweight!!!
261 days of tracking every BLT have paid off. Can't wait to do a checkin at day 365!
#mobilechatI didn't track gains, only losses, so this looks smoother than it was... So close to 90lbs down!!! Ooh, new app for my watch. Hello water tracking and calorie quick-reference!250 days tracking
I'm not saying I didn't have any overages (small or large) in those 250 days, but, whether I was on budget or not, I still measured and tracked honestly.Have been a little stressed...
Went for TWO runs today.
Way better than hitting the kitchen!
