nothing like knitting a chunky winter sweater in the summer holidays!
I can achieve a toned abdomen and a smaller waist, and flexible strong back and hips
remembering my holiday for as long as possible!
11.2 km walking this morning - a lovely, sunny, autumnal day. [chose the nearest tracking speed - some are mph, some are kph - very tricky to get it right! - my average pace according to Garmin was 17.43 min/km - it wasn't a power walk!]
From World Mental Health Day - some chemical hacks that might be of interest to some of you xxx
missing so much
this morning is my last walk around Trengwainton Gardens before it shuts for the winter :(

I don't know who to attribute this to - saw it on facebook!
These are just fun. I got it from facebook, but I think they're done by Julia Donaldson (author of Room on the Broom) #keepsafe
This footpath (which I walked today) has 154 steps (I counted them!) 8.5km 11,500 steps on a beautiful Spring-like day!
I don't have snow (I know a lot of you have!) but am going for that woody walk anyway!
Very wet walk this morning - wild wind whipping up the waves too!
off for a run in the rain - hot coffee & dry clothes will be my reward!

our Covid stats haven't really changed over the past month - and are still WAY higher than before Xmas
Spring is on the way!
OK - we're waiting?! I don't know how this'll be done with social distancing etc - guess everyone will wear masks!
helpful infographic from self care - from CAMHS - NHS HIghland
Today I completed the last run in the C25K programme - woo hoo!
I started my Valentine's Day with a dawn run in wind and rain - communing with the wild woman I am!
is still working on this teeny little spare tyre!
we're on-line a lot at the moment
especially if you sit a lot - forward bending movement keep you from stiffening up (unless you have high blood pressure, in which case, as I'm sure you know, you have to be careful of head-down positions)
After my lovely sunny Spring day yesterday, we're back to gale-force winds and grey skies today. My running buddy chickened out, but I went out and enjoyed my run.
keep on keeping on!
I did a deceptively gentle Pilates for Seniors with Girl with the Pilates Mat on You Tube. Very challenging balance exercises!
Spark is a happy place :)

My March motivation image!
Lovely walk to Trengwainton Gardens (National Trust) today - it's become a weekly treat for me! About 7km walked, and 12,800 steps racked up)

catching sunshine where I can #lockdown
I got out first thing today - and had a lovely walk. I do so miss being able to just be outdoors whenever I feel like it! #LockDown
I just had to share this!
I got my bike out today to go to a meeting, which was cancelled just before I got there! So I stopped for a coffee by the harbour in Hayle before cycling back again.
Wow! I accidentally ran 14.5km this morning, by missing a turning, and ended up on the moors amidst the old mine-houses! It was blowing hard and raining even harder - it was, shall we say, an ADVENTURE!
is so delighted with this word-picture that my son gifted to me for Xmas - I love it!
This was the beautiful Autumn evening sunshine in the park on my walk last night
Well, my pace was 20:47/km because a lot of it was climbing over rocks on the coast path! It was a tough walk but I really enjoyed it. If you'd like to see some photos of Poldark country I've posted some in my blog today.
This photo is some of the steps up to The Minnack Theatre (the 'escape route') at Porthcurno in Cornwall, UK
Pretty darned good today: 16 mins hill run repeats before my first coffee; then a trail-type walk of 90 mins this afternoon. I'm posting the walking as my #fitness for today. The photo is of a 'stepped stone stile' - I love the granite stiles
My big victory for today is getting through it on-plan, and not giving in to the temptation of chocolate! #BeStrong #Sparking this info-graphic about 'forward' and 'backward' food has really been helping me be strong
After work, and not feeling much like it, I got on my bicycle and cycled 6 miles UP and DOWN over the moors to get to Morvah Pasty Day. The UP and Down over the moors to get home again. I was rewarded by a great feeling of accomplishment, and some beautiful views! This photo is of Lanyon Quoit (neolithic) (and an engine house in the distance)
Enjoyed parkrun with my d-i-l this morning
My hero! An a great example of an altruistic person.
My courage comes in fits & starts. This photo reminds me of my courageous self. Today is psrkrun. I am wearing my new shorts, but couldn't manage the new vest, so am wearing my parkrun t-shirt today. That's my courage-limit this morning!
