Musing About New Goals

I think I love the period after Christmas more than the actual holiday! It feels so good to get rid of clutter and set new goals this time of year. The new goals are going to require some thoughtfulness but here's what I know now:
Though I haven't lost any weight this past year (I keep gaining and losing the same five pounds) I have successfully reduced my binging. I binge less often and when I do, I eat less. I feel that my out of control eating was the underlying cause of my weight gain so I concentrated on that in 2009.
So, working upon this success, I want to begin to concentrate on moving more to burn calories and begin to do more toning exercises to improve muscle mass. Considering my sensitive joints, I think walking will be the best choice for me. Also, DVD workouts and using hand weights. The final component will be to spend less wasted time on the computer. I plan to reduce the computer tasks to the essential only and to monitor my time and set a time limit for computer usage.
