This is the year.

Wednesday, January 20, 2010

I feel like for everything there is a season, or a year. I think I could go through my life and every year has a theme.

2006 was graduate from college and become a teacher year

2007 was loose the weight and become an athelete year (Lanikai Canoe Clue What?)

2008 was get married year

2009 was listen to the still small voice year and follow your heart (move to C'ville to be a youth minister)

and here I am at 2010, and I am just going to define it as the year of no excuses. There were not alot of excuses in 2007 when I dropped the weight and found my hidden competitor but now it's down to the nitty gritty, that handful of m&m's will affect the scale. That one missed run will leave you wanting more in the race. That missed opportunity to love will bite you. I did it with Weight Watchers in 2007 but I needed something new and fresh to start this with so here I am. No excuses.

I so hear you about each year having a theme! Your attitude rocks! No excuses...I've said before (on previous weight loss journeys) that I was making a lifestyle change. And I did...but I never reached goal weight or maintained. I'd stop exercising & start eating crap. Then the weight would creep back on. This year is different...no excuses.

    You can do it!

Great job. I think losing the excuses for me was half the battle. Good luck. It sounds like you are off to a good start. emoticon

I love the attitude! You're so spunky and really want to reach your goals. That's a great start. Good luck with your goals and this year better have a really good theme!
