Tuesday-just moving along

First a quick update on Jeremy-he has been moved to a stepdown unit just outside the ICU. They have him almost weaned off of the sedatives. The 1st skin graft is infected and is requiring dressing changes every 8 hrs around the clock and they won't attempt another until he is more aware of things and is able to follow instructions. He has shown progress, he has recognized family members-but memory is fleeting so they are working on that. He still has a feeding tube, but they are trying to encourage him to eat and drink and he is doing some on his own. He has sat up a few times on the side of the bed.
He has a long, long road ahead to recovery but things are looking positive at present. Drs were to meet this week to plan for his recovery long term.
I am pleased that I have been getting my water in and I have swam twice since Sun and walked twice so getting in a fair amount of exercise and that is in addition to my yardwork so I am sweating it off.
I have been doing better on the portion size and counting calories this week so hoping to see some results-I lost 1 1/2 lbs last week so .......that dr visit is coming and I want to go in knowing I have done what I should to get off the cholesterol medicine!
