Year 2, Day 2

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

This has been such an unusual day-we have been overcast and our high was only 81, unheard of in Aug in Fl!!! I have enjoyed every minute of it.
I walked with Abbie this morning as hubby took my Dad for coffee and donuts - thank you dear for keeping me away from the temptation. I stayed in our subdivision since I am a little leary of walking alone since the jogger appeared last week and then disappeared and yesterday we saw a couple in an abandoned fish camp we pass by sooo I don't feel safe out there alone anymore. However, I get stopped by people wanting to visit when I am in here so it isn't quite as good of a workout but at least it is safe.
Things will be a bit mixed up this week, I normally visit the hospital with Abbie on Thur but going to go to a different facility tomorrow instead this week. We also go out to breakfast on Wed so it is going to be a busy morning.
Abbie got her bath this afternoon as I always make sure she is clean before a visit-she gets way too many baths which means lots of oatmeal shampoo for her as she has allergies. I am so thankful she does not mind a bath. She will come right to me and stay in the sink while I bathe her. She is such a good little gal I am always amazed by her. She is just too smart.
Jeremy was to have more surgery - another skin graft - this week but so far no news so not sure what is going on. He is sill having lots of problems with the results of the concussion and that is the area of most concern anymore. He will go to an intensive rehab once that his skin graft is doing ok.
Our newest family member came home from the hospital on Fri eve and we got pictures of her today. What a sweet little one. We are looking forward to seeing her in a few weeks.
Have a great week everyone.
