Miracles do Happen

I have been diligently trying to follow my new exercise and food plan since my Wednesday doctor appointment. I was up and walked my 3 miles fairly early this morning. Got a little bad news on my final lap around our park that we had lost one of our residents-he was suffering from lung cancer and had just returned from Cleveland about 10 days ago after being treated there. Sometimes going home to be with The Lord is not a bad thing but an end to our earthly suffering so I am choosing to believe he is in a better place and no longer suffering.
I came on home and decided I would get my swim in this morning because I have been waiting till later in the day and often it decides to storm then and I don't get to swim so today I got in a good 90 min workout and when I came home, hubby was on the phone and told me I would never guess who it was. Well I had to get out of my wet stuff and then I got the phone and then I experienced my Little Miracle for today.
Jeremy was on the phone. Remember our grandson who was in the really bad motorcycle accident on August 7?? Well, he has made gigantic strides in the past week since he was moved to rehab. He is remembering things and is now able to dress and bathe himself. He says if things continue as they have, he will be released to go home in the next 7-10 days. We thought he might have to spend months in rehab when they took him there so this is really God answering all the prayers of all the wonderful people who have kept him in their prayers. He still has a long road to a full recovery but now we have hope that he will make it back to the boy he once was. I call him a boy, but he turns 23 in Jan and is a father with 2 sons and a little girl due in Dec.
My brother thinks he may be returning sooner than he thought so hopefully we are going to get to go north in a couple of weeks. Life is looking really good right now.
Just keep our little great grandaughter in your prayers. She was born Aug 18 and weighed 8 lb 1 oz and has dropped to about 7 lbs due to bad reflux. They have changed her formula several times and today they put her on Nexium. If this doesn't get better, then she is probably going to have to have an upper GI and possibly be hospitalized till they figure out what is causing her problem.
Thank you everyone for all the prayers, words of encouragement and expressions of support. They really helped us thru this knowing we could not be right there made it doubly hard for us but God knows where we should be so we trust that he has a plan and we will let him guide us thru this.
