My husband lost the sight in his left eye after cataract surgery in 2003 and after many procedures and a couple of more surgeries, he has accepted that the sight is not returning. 97% of folks have cataract surgery and go on to much improved vision, but there is a 3% who end up losing their vision due to the surgery. He knew the risks and never dreamed he would be one of the 3% but he was. His cataract on his right eye is getting worse so he pretty much has very limited vision. Due to all of this, he has not driven in the past 6 years so I am going to depict his ride in pictures below.
This is a picture of hubby in the green cart and Dad in the white cart-this was before any work was done to the Green Monster.
A good look at the before picture,
Cart after the new tires and wheels and lift kit was put on.
Hubby & Abbie in the finished cart-nerf bars, fenders, and front & back bumpers added.
Dash and steering wheel.
I know some of you will think this is crazy, but you have to understand, this is all that he gets to drive now so this is his version of a hot rod. Some of the other residents in our over 55 park have also decked out their carts so soon, I will get a pic of all the carts for here. I hope you have enjoyed the pics.
