I took my 99+ year old father (actually he is my step=father but only on I have as my own father was NEVER there for me) to the dr today and he got such a good report. Dr told him his bp (114/63) and blood work (total cholesterol of 160 and trig of 65) would make a 20 yr old proud. He weighed 136 lbs with his clothes on! Dr didn't want to see him for nearly 6 mo.
We should all be so lucky and get such good news at the dr. I think a lot of this is due to the fact that he has always watched his weight and been physically active. He won ribbons in the senior olympics up till he was nearly 90!
I guess my message for today is that we need to follow his example and hope we all get results like this!
Don't smoke (he gave it up in 1950!)
