We had company arrive on Saturday afternoon and they left today about noon. They had come down to see the shuttle which was to launch on Mon but it has been postponed several times-last we heard it was now pushed to Thur afternoon. Yesterday they decided they would go to a hotel near the Space Coast for a couple of nites.
I don't know about anyone else, but having company throws my whole schedule into havoc. I wasn't getting a good walk in as she wanted to go and she can't go as far or as fast. They eat differently so that posed another problem.
I still had dad to care for so had to work that in with entertaining them. We never neglected him, but maybe that part was good as I left him more on his own these past 4 days. I made sure he had food, etc, but didn't spend a lot of time with him and wasn't at his beck and call. When he came for his shower this afternoon he sat down and talked first which is unusual. Maybe this helped him appreciate what I do a bit more.
My brother who lives a little over 2 hours away came down on Mon for a surprise visit and with company, I didn't have time to do any special cooking so everyone ate leftovers for lunch on Mon!
See, I am taking some of the advice and trying to pull back a little.
Now I have to get things back together here and back on track with my normal schedule.
Hope everyone had a great Halloween since i really just slipped right on past me!

I don't do as well with the cooking when I have company.
You did great considering your company was not planned for.
