Got up this morning and the temperature had dropped overnite and I wasn't dressed properly for my walk, but since hubby was out there with me, we kept going and the goosebumps just had to keep each other warm-I had worn the shorts I had on yesterday!
It felt good, but we avoided the lake breeze on our way home. I won't make it in the morning tomorrow since I have to go sit with a friend about 7 am while her husband gets a stent put in. Have to pick the priorities somedays.
Had planned to be with her and dad's house was to get painted today - kitchen cabinets - but since it was cold this morning the painting got put off till tomorrow so now I won't be there so hope it all goes ok. I have the paint and supplies waiting. We have made arrangements for friends to keep Abbie so now just hope all goes well and we are able to get home in the early afternoon.
This afternoon we went to the drugstore and since we were close to some friends from Canada who winter down here we decided to stop by and see if they were home and they were and we had a nice 2 hour visit. We had all camped in the same campground for 6 winters and now have bought homes so we don't see each other so often. Was good to get caught up on their news. They were excited to tell us their daughter is going to be able to adopt the little girl they have been foster parenting since she was 8 days old-she is now almost 3. What a wonderful ending for this little one-parents who will love her and give her a good life.
This has been day 3 of me taking some time for me and this visit was my me time today and it was very enjoyable. It is great picking different things to enjoy every day. Should have done this sooner!!
Happy Monday Everyone!
