Hubby Update

Thursday, May 05, 2011

Got to bring hubby home Mon about noon and it has been a busy few days. I had to get all his followup dr appointments set up and it is amazing the time one spends on the phone doing these things. I also had to check to make sure his new meds would not interact with his other meds. I know the internist prescribed them but I wanted to check with the oncologist and nephrologist before I gave him any. Maybe I am overly cautious but better safe than sorry.
I am trying to get caught back up on everything I neglected while he was in the hospital and I am making inroads on my list. Tomorrow I think I am heading to Lowes or Home Depot and buying my annuals and will get my flower pots redone. I had planned on doing it before everything got so crazy.
I still don't know what the drs plan to do about the blockage in his right leg but guess they will tell us next week. Never a dull moment around here.

I'm glad he's home. It is a very good idea to call the various specialists re the meds -- you don't want any contraindications, and one physician doesn't always know what the other has prescribed. It is certainly better to be safe than sorry. You are doing the right thing. I hope things will get back to normal as quickly as possible. I can't help but think that those long walks you both take everyday will play some positive part in his recovery.

    Blessings,
    Deirdre
