Thought I would show you some of the decorations I have been working on in my yard.
This was my hubby's idea to add Willie under our new windmill palm. We had to replace our robellini palm as two cold winters totally destroyed it.
This is the new tower planter hubby put together for me this spring. He has been going to do this for several years and FINALLY did it and I put in the plants.
These are the new flowers for this summer in front of our house.
I just got them planted-they were to be done for mother's day, but hubby being in the hospital put the skids to that.
This big flower pot was one of my bargains at a yard sale this spring and I just got it planted with the butterfly tree and some base flowers and put up on the hill. In the sweet potato plant at the base is where the little black snake gave me such a fright a couple days ago.
This was the flower pot I had on the hill so when I put the bigger pot there, I repotted this and it is now on the side of our driveway.
I put new flowers in front of our focal point - my old rowboat - in front of our house.
These are the 3 baby mockingbirds in the crepe myrtle in front of our house. I just held the camera over them and hoped for a decent pic-they opened their mouths hoping I was momma bringing food. We enjoy watching them out of our family room window.
Dad with the little fisherboy that bears his name. This is one of the focal points we have created in the park. One of my helpers just painted him-he was plain white concrete and she brought him to life and on the vest she painted dad's name - in honor of him turning 100 in Sept.
Closeup of the little boy-Karen does an amazing job with her painting.
Thought you all might enjoy seeing a little bit of what I do when I tell you I am working in the gardens. I have to water all these plants by hand with all the heat we have been having, but to enjoy their beauty, it is worth it.
I hope you enjoy this little picture show.
