Wednesday

Here it is the middle of the week and things I had hoped to already have accomplished are still hanging out there. I am trying to get DH enrolled in cardiac rehab thru the hospital and now we are waiting on dr's orders so that medicare will pay for it for 12 weeks. The nurse says he is a great candidate since he had to be hospitalized twice with his stents. She says that people who get stents and go thru the rehab do a lot better than those who don't as they are more apt to follow the diet and do the exercise to get back into shape.
I am also waiting on my dr to give her approval for me to go to the Wellness Center. If we can both get enrolled into these programs, it will get us out of the heat as we are getting up at 6 am to walk and it is still hot even that early. It is hard for me to breathe so I know it is hard on dh so that is my motivation to get us into these programs.
Dad had surgery on his ear on Monday to remove the basal cell cancer and I am now taking care of the cleaning and bandaging of that. He will get the stitches out on Monday.
We are finally getting some much needed rain tonite. I am hoping it lasts for an hour or so as we are so dry and today we hit 101 with a heat index of 113. I can't believe how hot it has been down here so early in the year. We are praying our rainy season is arriving and it will give us some relief.
Well, it will be another early morning so best get myself off here and to bed.
