Getting Frustrated & Some Success

As I have detailed in earlier blogs, I have been trying to get my DH his much needed supplies for his bi-pap machine but it seems for every i I dot and t I cross, they throw another roadblock into the path. This has been going on for almost 6 weeks and I am getting very frustrated, but there isn't much I can do besides bug the new supplier as I can't just go anywhere to get these supplies-they must be medicare approved, the dr must give the orders, etc. So, I spend a portion of every day trying to find out where we are and what next must be done in order to get his supplies shipped! Today I was on hold for over 15 min before getting to talk to the customer service person I have been dealing with for the past 2 weeks. Now she says they need to know that he has been compliant in using the machine! I think they are just looking for reasons to not give him these supplies for some unknown reason-maybe it is the new health care reform. She promised to call me again as to whether she got the information from the dr and could ship the supplies but as usual, no phone call! I am not a happy camper but have little I can do other than be a pain in their a$$.
Once I got off the phone with her, we headed to the hospital and got DH enrolled in the cardiac rehab program there. That was the success story of the day. This only took a little over 2 weeks to get this resolved. I know I am more excited about him going to this than he is but I am hoping that by the time he is finished with the program he will be feeling so much better and it will encourage him to continue the exercise program and he will agree to come to The Wellness Center with me. It took us about 90 minutes to get all the paperwork done but that is behind us and they sent home a survey for us to fill out so we did that this afternoon so he is ready to go on Monday! I will drop him off and head on over to the Wellness Center and I will do my workout at the same time - just at a different facility.
