To prevent blisters, apply any type of antiperspirant to the bottom of your feet before you go jogging or hiking. The antiperspirant should prevent the friction that causes blisters.
You can also use other types of lubricants to prevent blisters, such as petroleum jelly (available at drugstores).
I got this tip from a health website but not sure if the petroleum jelly would work, I think you might slip and slide in your sock but I know it is great to put on your feet at night with a pair of sock to make your soles really soft (do it most nights).
