Early Birthday Present

I went out today just planning to get my haircut, but I had coupons and when I got to the shop, I let the stylist talk me into getting highlights. I used to get highlights when I was working but had stopped getting it done over 10 years ago. She started by evening out my haircolor as it was bleached out on the ends and then put in highlights on the front. I had to let it set on there for 45 min and then I got it cut and had her put on the keratin treatment as the sun and pool really takes a toll on my hair. I had to set under the dryer another 20 min for the treatment and then she styled it for me. Quite a change from my usual run in, get a wet cut, and home for me to style it!
I am really excited about having a different look and hope this lasts, but with short hair, I know it will get cut out in about 3-4 months. Oh well, maybe I can do this twice a year if I get more coupons!
I wanted to look nice for dad's party since we will be setting at the head table and there will be lots of pics so that was another reason to splurge today.
