Hubby update

My dear husband will have back surgery April 16. We saw the surgeon this afternoon and he thinks he can fix the problem. Ashley has spinal stenosis and it is in his lower back--where he had surgery in 1977 when he had to have a needle hole patched from a milagram. Now they don't do them but the damage has been done and now must be corrected. I have to be careful and stay strong--not inhale everything in the kitchen. Hopefully local dd will come by tomorrow and I will clean out all the temptations. lol

    You and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Remember to be good to yourself during this stressful time. Take care of yourself in non-caloric ways, if at all possible (naps, hot baths, whatever helps lessen a little bit of the stress).

    You will get through this!!!

    My thoughts are with you during this time. I know what you mean about eating. It is a good idea to remove temptations and you have a nice dd to help remove them. Surgery has advanced so much. Praying for you both. emoticon

    I have been praying all along and I know God will give you the strength not to "inhale everything in the kitchen" just stay busy quilting and running in place and praying and ANYTHING that helps get you away from those thoughts and such...God loves you and so do I! You CAN DO THIS! emoticon

    Hmm... ever feel like a juggler who keeps things going while folks keep tossing in extra things to keep up in the air? You need some down time, so I hope the visit with dd is a relaxing one. Your approach to the food temptation is ideal: get those temptations out of the kitchen so they don't lure you to them!! How's the weather down there? Any chance you could distract yourself by spending some time outdoors? Might help...? Glad the surgery is scheduled fairly soon rather than having to wait 3-4 months! Am hoping that it gives him a new lease on life.

    now, that the outcome it great. I had
    spine surgery in 2006-fusion. I am sure
    that someday, I will have to go through
    another to update this one. I am sure
    that Ashley will do well. Don't worry.
