Thank God for Friends

I do not know what we would do if we didn't have so many wonderful friends. I am pretty capable but not the best when it comes to using tools so it is always wonderful to know that we have friends who are willing to help when we need it.
Today was work on the motorhome day. We got a call early this morning from our friend Vicky and her husband, Sonny. The guys had bought used jacks and were having them welded to the frame of our mh's to help in leveling them. He was here before 8:30 and gone before 9! After he left, DH came home with the mh and he and Sonny worked on the driver's seat. It was supposed to swivel but it didn't and the dealer didn't work on it so they took it out and figured out that something was no longer attached. They had a couple of snafus but eventually got it to work so now we can swivel it around when we are parked and have 3 places for people to sit in the body of the mh. After that, they used some velcro to keep our seat belts out of the way.
While they were doing that, I was busy working in the park gardens. I got the roses deadheaded again and put out two new bird feeders-Vicky and I bought them this past week. They are made out of beautiful plates and have ornamental birds attached in the middle and go into the ground on a long rod. They will add some color along our white fence in the front of the park.
I put my turkey in to bake this morning-since we didn't use it at Christmas (with dad in the hospital things didn't go as planned) I figured it was time to get it cooked and we will have friends over to share it with us tomorrow.
Since Sonny helped DH most of the morning, we invited he and Vicky over for a BBQ about 5. That meant I had to get busy and get the fixings made to go with it. I made some potato salad, deviled eggs and baked beans and baked a pumpkin pie (also in the freezer from Christmas).
We have had a lovely day and enjoyed a nice dinner with friends. Fixing dinner for them was a small price to pay for all the help Sonny gave DH and Vicky is one of my helpers in the park gardens so it served double duty.
Easter Blessings to all and may you too have wonderful friends.
