TOPS 2012 SRD

Today I got home from the Georgia Take Off Pounds Sensibly State Recognition Days (2012 TOPS SRD). We did have a such a good time, meet many others working for the same goal, and were so inspired to work harder to reach our goals. Our group did not get to stay for last session as one member fainted this morning about 3 a.m. and we had to take her to the ER resulting in 3 staples, EKG, and CAT scan. Most of us did stay for the morning session but as soon as she was through in the ER, we knew that she wasn't really able to sit through the last session so brought her back home (4 hrs away).
I was very honored to receive the "angel" award this year--voted this honor by private ballot by my chapter and no one knew until it was announced at SRD. Also Shirly (another member) and I designed and made a banner that was voted by all the chapters 2nd place. We were so excited as it was the first time (that I know of) that we have placed at all in this category. WooHoo for GA 279 Douglas. Shirly and I also made poodle skirts for 6 of the 7 members that went.
