Greatest Doc

Today all dear DH's doc's conferred and decided he could come home to recuperate. DH talked to his internist and explained that I did not have insurance and asked if he could treat me or if I should go to the Urgernt Care and get some medicine so we would not pass this back and forth. He was a dear and prescribed for me-he knows me well as DH has been his patient for over 6 years! So now we are both on tamiflu and antibiotics-although different ones because I am allergic to penicillin! I can't say I immediately felt better after 1 dose but I am in hopes that after a couple of days I will be feeling a lot better.
Our little Abbie is happy to have her daddy home too. Ah, a bowl of warm chicken noodle soup, a little tv and off to bed early tonite!

    Praying for you, Pat. My husband was sick all of December with a horrible cold and cough. We had a friend of mine staying with us from 12/22/12-01/01/13. I was sick the first week of January and felt like I had the flu. When I finally went to Urgent Care, the flu-like symptoms had subsided but I tested positive for strep throat and am taking pills for that.

    I found that Schweppes ginger ale offered some comfort to a very queasy stomach and had a can a day and hot tea at other times.

    That is great news Pat and your DH has a very good doctor too; to prescribe that for you. I know what it is like not to have any insurance. It is no fun at all.

    From your description, it sounds like you went to the Ballard Locks, which is where I took those photos on my blog. I haven't been down to the Fish Ladders yet, that will be my next destination.

    That is great Pat! I'm so glad your DHs doctor was kind enough to give you something. And happy day he is home. No more running back and forth and worrying about him. Do have the chicken noodle soup. It really does make you feel better.

    Thank you for that beautiful New Year's wish, I am not so eloquent so I will just say I am glad I met you this year and that we have such a great group of ladies on our team. I wish you and Bill good health this year especially.
