Excitement down south
Tuesday, July 30, 2013
We had a bit of excitement down south - not sure if any of you saw it on the news-a Blue Rhino Plant (makes the propane for BBQ tanks) in Tavares blew up about 10:30 PM Monday. It sounded like a bomb went off and then more explosions kept going for a long, long time. On the news they said 53,000 tanks blew up! We could see the glow from where we live-it lit up the sky for hours. We stayed up till about 1 watching the report on the news. Thankful no one was killed outright but 4 of the workers are in critical condition in 3 different burn units-2 in Orlando, 1 in Gainesville, and 1 in Ocala.
Staying up late didn't help me or DH a lot-we were up by 6 as I have to walk early or it gets too hot. DH went for his coffee and donuts this morning with Sonny. I worked in the park gardens for about 90 min after my walk. I have to get it done before 11 or it almost makes me ill on these hot days. I actually came inside to work by 10 today.
DH helped me and we have most of the stuff cleared out of the spare bedroom. I have a bag for the thrift store, 1 of Abbie's old toys to give to the dog rescue-she gets so many given to her at Christmas so I will share them with some less fortunate pooches. I sorted some things from the RV that we hope to sell at the next community yard sale. Tomorrow I hope to pull everything out of the closet and get it sorted and that room will be decluttered!
This afternoon I went and made Abbie's grooming appointment at a new place. It also has doggie daycare so she will get to play with the other pooches before and after her grooming.
Hope all of you had a good day and thanks for stopping by
