Who is your Inspiration?

Do you have someone in your life who inspires you? Over the years I always wanted to be like my aunt. My mother's older sister was like a second mother to me. Since my mother passed away when I was just 19, my sons never got a chance to know her. My aunt was like a grandmother to them and a second mother to me. Losing her at 96 was harder for me than losing my own mother but she was a wonderful role model for me.
Even as she aged, she never quit doing. In her 70's she started walking in her neighborhood. She continued to make bread from scratch into her late 80's. She was always willing to help friends and family and showed me what it is to be a good role model.
As I struggle with my weight, I watch some ladies in my community. There is one who is turning 90. She gets out and walks every day at least 30 minutes! She is one of my volunteers and helps with the park gardening. She lost her DH last year but it hasn't stopped her. She is living her life to the fullest.
My next door neighbor turned 80 this year and she has started a walking program and dropped about 20 pounds. She gets out early every morning and we pass each other in the early morning-pounding the pavement as we both try to maintain our health. She has macular degeneration so it is even more amazing that she is able to keep going.
These are some of the wonderful ladies who have inspired me during my life-do you have someone who has helped you change your life and improve it?
