Chicken, isn't always the right choice...

So, today I'm feeling pretty good about myself. I put on the tight grey pants this morning and they weren't so tight. I stuck to the program and was comfortably under my calorie and fat count. I even consumed 72ozs of fluids before 4:00 p.m. Pretty impressive for a newbie, eh?
When I got home from work, my brother—the doll that he is—followed me so I could drop my car off at the garage. He then gets this brilliant idea to swing by the local Carl's Jr. instead of cooking dinner. Ack! My first fast food test! Since we're in the middle of a heat wave and I was low on produce...and it was his treat...(amazing the excuses we use to justify) I didn’t make a “fuss.” I mean, it’s a life choice, right? A little give here, a little take there...balance is key. I was happy with my choice of a simple charbroiled chicken sandwich--no fry’s or soda. Not too bad, right? HA! Do you know one of those little suckers is 480 calories...I could live with that...but I was appalled at the 23g of FAT; 7g Sat. Fat; 95mg cholesterol; all wrapped up in 1,110mg of sodium! Egad! What have I done? LOL Well, there is no turning back...I already ate it, but I've learned a few valuable lessons: (1) that chicken isn't always the right choice! (2) it’s okay to “fuss,” and (3) the SP food tracker lists everything!
And my friend, you know who you are, how I wish I only ate a box of Rasinettes!
