Thanks for the Prayers for DH

As most of you know DH was diagnosed with prostrate cancer in Oct 2011 and underwent radiation treatments that ended in Feb 2012. Since then he has had various issues with the urinary tract-several infections, etc.
In Oct 2013, he went to another urologist for a 2nd opinion since the one who had treated him for the cancer told him that he was just going to have to learn to live with some pain and discomfort. That just did not sit well so.....needless to say he is no longer his doctor!!
Consultation with the 2nd urologist led to the diagnosis of 2 prostrate stones but he did not do surgery so referred him to another urologist who did. Well, he was so booked up he could not even see him till mid Jan. That was not working as DH was in almost constant pain so we went on a quest back in December to find a urologist who could see him sooner. DH even relented and said he would see an associate of his 1st urologist but that became a joke. Luckily we mentioned we were looking for a urologist who could do surgery to his oncologist and he recommended a local urologist that he had gone to medical school with. What a relief, his staff got DH in within a week, tests were redone and he discovered instead of 2 stones DH had one stone and a tumor. Surgery was scheduled and over before he could even get in to see the other urologist. When the surgery was done, the stone was gone. Evidently DH passed it without his knowledge. (Think it was right after the scope on his visit Dec. 31). However, dr found 2 tumors on the neck of the bladder and they were removed and sent in for analysis. Today we returned to the urologist for the results.
DH is CANCER FREE! Dr said he is one lucky guy-only 1% of people having such tumors removed get this diagnosis. I think we are both still a bit in shock. Finally some good news after almost 2 years of one health crisis after another.
Thanks to all of you - prayers have been answered. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. We will now be able to go on our cruise with a light heart.
