Self-Discipline day 2

Thanks for the advice on self-discipline in my last blog. I have heard to try small attainable goals and I have tried that, and then totally forget that I even have a goal. Maybe I need big signs around my house. Hmmm...I could clear the magnets off my refrigerator and put some kind of big goal-oriented paper up there. My problem is things like that only seem to last a few days and then they blend into the background and I start ignoring them. Something is going to work and I'm going to keep trying until I figure it out!!

    Try post-it notes on your computer! Put only healthy items in your fridge and get rid of anything not so good in your pantry. Unopened items can always be donated.. If it isn't there, you can't eat it! That is a big one for me. Too easy to start mindlessly noshing if its there..

    Lately I have found that cutting way back on bread & pasta very helpful. I seem to stay full longer not eating those things. And if I'm full then I'm not inclined to snack. I do eat a little pasta at night with dinner so I don't feel like a martyr in front of my husband. So far it's working. and it's not difficult to remember if we go out to eat. I just eat whatever veggies, salad or meats are available.
