Fear

The message in church today was about fear and I thought it fit so well with what many of us are dealing with on here.
Fear stops us from moving forward with our life.
The fear of loss.
The fear of failure.
The fear of rejection.
The fear of the unknown.
How many of us are hanging onto this weight because we are afraid? We are afraid of what will happen when we aren't carrying it around. It has become our security blanket. If we don't really try, then we can't fail. What if we lose the weight and we still feel like we don't fit in. What will life really be like after we lose the weight???
What do you really fear?
Fear is placing your faith in things that may or may not happen.
Do you really want to let fear rule your life? Would you rather place your faith in what could happen if you let go of that fear or move forward in faith that things can improve?
Ask yourself this question.
What does your fear matter?
Your fear reveals what you value the most.
Your fear reveals where you trust in God the least.
Acknowledge your fear and choose to trust that God knows what is best for you.
If you can do this then you can move forward with whatever you want to achieve in life, be it weight loss, change jobs, move to a new location, or just living life free from fear of life itself.
