It's The Little Things

A new year and a 50 lb weight loss, both are good motivators to keep going. No way do I want to go back and do it all over again. I have always loved to promise of a new year ahead of me when I want to change something. It's the same as starting a diet on a Monday... a new week means a clean slate. Wipe everything away and start over.

I don't need to wipe everything away and start over. I AM going to do this!

The best part is how I feel. I have more energy, my legs feel better and I can do things I couldn't do before. Little things like cross my arms across my chest with my hands tucked under my arms or bend down and pick something up off the floor without straining and groaning. My bra feels loose especially on my back. My blouses are looking pretty big on me recently and I can even see my cheek, neck and wrist bones. I am liking the changes and can't wait to see what other changes are in store for me as I lose weight. But the best surprise was when I realized that my lap could hold a 4 year old! Ahhh it's the little things.
