I failed but it's never too late!

Tuesday, April 14, 2015

Yes I failed to maintain my healthy life style. I started slipping since a year ago. The year of failure started with a little baby steps towards bad habits. It always comes with this sequence:
1- Drink less water.
2- Stop tracking your calorie intake.
3- Skip your daily workout.
4- Start to eat a little bit more.
5- Stop losing weight.
6- Failing in fixing the above points.
7- Starting to eat more and more everyday and every meal.
8- Gain weight every week and then everyday.
9- Avoid the scale.
10- Avoid to measure.

It's not about knowledge right now, it's about the will. When I weight too much like now I'm always upset and in a fight with myself. When I'm losing weight I'm always happy with the goals I reached. Now I'm in a fight between the grown up me who has the knowledge of what should be done and the naughty kid I'm raising inside me who wants too eat just because she like it.

Reasons why I eat now ?

1- Hungry:
I'm getting hungry more than before and need a bigger amount to feel full.

2- Felling boring:
Life is boring especially when you don't want to go out and having little self confidence.

3- Just because I like:
If there is chocolate in house then it's a mission to finish it and feel comfortable.

4- Addiction:
The call at night "EAT SOMETHING SWEET".

I know that I have to stop this. I've been trying to do it everyday over the last year. I can't stop the naughty kid inside me from eating. I have to love my and work for my benefit. This naughty child inside me is beating me. I'll never give up I'll try really hard and will let you know if I can do it or not. Wish me good luck.

Aw, that child inside can bend to your will as a child with boundaries bends to the rules. Best wishes!

The best step you did is "confess".
You did it before and you can do it again now, if you need any help or to encourage each other i'm here on daily basis.

Here's to making better choices again.....one at a time. And failure.....perhaps yes, but perhaps an opportunity to succeed. Here's to reversing those steps down the slippery slope, one at a time.

Start with just one habit to change at a time. Exercise is so important, how about doing 10 or 15 minutes of exercise everyday?

Oh he's, it's a slippery slope - very common and very much something lots of us know all about. I do exactly the same (sigh) yesterday morning I swore to myself that I would try hard this week. By evening, it had flown out of my grasp. We just have to keep trying....

Maybe strict program, where everything is plotted out for you? emoticon
I have been doing the same as you ,eating and drinking more of the not so good for you stuff. emoticon
I found something called "The whole 30" and it is working for me,and I do not miss or lack any foods even when the dairy, grains, sugars ,beans and processed foods are cut out. you still get plenty of protein, fat and carbs. I don't even miss the chocolate or the wine. and it is only 30 days ,then you start adding things back in .
