One Year Anniversary!
Monday, September 21, 2015
Yesterday, September 20th was my anniversary of my 6 hour emergency surgery. I still thank God every day that I am alive.
I have learned to stop and appreciate the little things. Everyday I go out in the morning to pick up the paper for my Mom I look around and see the beauty that I am surrounded by. I stop and watch children play, I stop to spend time with my Mom who is now 84 and I am so thankful to still have her in my life.
I now take vacation from work to do what needs to be done or to do much of nothing. I no longer work much over 40 hours because life is too short.
I love my family and I spend as much time with them as possible and I also love my church family and spend a lot of time with them.
I hope that people realize how short life really is and stop to smell the daisies! I recently lost my father and that has struck us hard. I know he is in a better place, but oh how I miss that smile that he always had for me.
Please stop to enjoy the little things in life!
