Badlands

This is a group pic of the "travelers" taken in Badlands National Park


DH trying to slide down after we had climbed up to view out into the "abyss" of the badlands


DH & myself - we sure found out how much we had aged when we started the climbing and getting down on this visit-we last were here in 2006-what a difference a few years make when we get a bit older!

Just a couple of pics of our stop in the Badlands-I am still downloading and editing all of my pics.

    Sage advice here. "I got to thinking about that and noticing the difference as well. That is why it is so important to stay in the best physical shape as we possibly can."

    When I was a kid, I was playing with a younger girl and we were climbing up a hill. Her grandfather had made a rock wall along his driveway that came down the hill. They were big rocks. He and my Dad would pull them with chains behind a tractor and then set them in the wall and cement them in. She began to slip and hollered, "Granddad, Granddad! I can't get up and I can't get down!" I remembered that while looking at these pictures. We do find that our joints are stiff and our balance is off as we age.

    It sure does make a difference as we age.I worked with a lady once and
    she told me she could really tell the difference in her age every five years.
    I got to thinking about that and noticing the difference as well.That is why
    it is so important to stay in the best physical shape as we possibly can.
