emoticon 5-10-16 "EVERY SMILE IS A DIRECT ACHIEVEMENT"- Yogi Tea emoticon

emoticon emoticon It has been 'fun' getting back from my trip to see my Mom emoticon , (the most magnificent woman on the planet emoticon ) & going through storage. I released a storage unit 10'X6', & 4 pounds! emoticon emoticon I made some money, doing it. "They" came & bought everything in the unit, old mattress, too. Also, a desk & dresser & old hats & blankets, costume jewelry from my other 2 units. (They hold the marionettes I am not using, right now & no place at home for all these things, 5 hours away). The team that came are Estate & liquidators, in a VERY rural area. The saying goes, de-clutter your world & your body will de-clutter, too! It is happening for me, for sure! Before I left I cleaned our garage, so I could bring Marionettes & staging, that I need here.

I am REALLY on a clean up & out, kick. I had a closet pole break & that was the start! IF I KNOW I will not use something or have any emotional attachment to it, over the past 2 years, it's out. I am kind of turning into a 'minimalist' from a 'pack rat'. The TV show, 'Tiny house hunters' is showing me, I can use ALLOT less things to have a happy life! As I was in storage, I was able to release things that I KNOW I would never use in shows, for displays, our home, etc. I donated MANY bags to the humane society. I saved some things to sell, here at home & I still have about a year or so of going through all of my many, fun things. DH is doing the cleaning process, too, although not as much as I am. IT FEELS GREAT! I buy things a Goodwill. I ALWAYs find amazing things. I'm SURE if I need something, I will find it, again. (Except, the hand made art pieces from my families marionette business) Just to give you an idea, I have EVERY photo & negative I have EVER taken since 1968! Jr. High school friends I do not even know! Taking up about 1 foot square & 12 feet high, that's NUTS!!!! With all the digital emoticon options for me, WHY? PLUS my Mom & Uncle (he has to move, soon) are trying to give me ALL of their things they don't use or need or want any more. I am being VERY discerning about what I say yes, to! SO MUCH STUFF, I feel WONDERFUL having space to create.

emoticon I like to make masks, I found my box of them in storage. Here are some photos, they could be better pics, but they are in storage! Haha! Soon I will be able to make more, if I want, because of space! YEAH!

emoticon emoticon UPDATES emoticon emoticon

emoticon 5-13-16 There is a Flash Mob 5-21-16, if you are in Las Vegas & want to join, contact me & I'll get you to the correct person! It is a marriage proposal!!!! emoticon

5-14-16 emoticon Today was a busy day of Laundry, hiking & shopping for food. Lucy pup had a lovely walk, too! Starting to feel like summer! 95 today! Be Happy & I will too! emoticon

5-16-16 emoticon from me, today: I haven't said it to many on SP, but I burned my left hand my last day visiting my Mom 5-4-16 & it is finally healing enough that I can wash my own hair & do things I need to get done, using a plastic bag over gause. I've been resting ALLOT. My nurse said to just keep attending to it & let it rest. emoticon It IS finally doing just that!! I was on such a GREAT momentum of de-cluttering & releasing & organizing, before AND during my trip to see my Mom, it slowed me way down. Today, I FINALLY finished 6 loads of laundry, SO happy I didn't have to haul everything to the river, LOL! DH will be happy to have clean clothes, too, it's been 3 weeks for him! Don't get me wrong, we could go another 3 weeks without washing them, (we have MANY clothes to choose from), but we would need to buy more underthings! emoticon Thinking of all of you! emoticon
THX! Hand MUCH better! emoticon 5-17-16 Busy day of getting our world together! Hope you are all well! emoticon

There was someone on America's Got Talent once who could make really great masks.

emoticon on all the decluttering that you've been doing! I'm going to have to watch that Tiny Homes show and see if I get any ideas from it! emoticon

I am so sorry you hurt your hand! It must have been even more traumatic for you, because you're a puppeteer.

It feels GREAT getting rid of stuff you don't need or want anymore! It truly does make you feel lighter doesn't it? I am going through all of my 'stuff' also...so much I'll never in a million years use. I have so many jewelry findings I could open my own jewelry store. I used to create jewelry every day and loved it...but now that we have the consignment gallery it really takes all of my time to stay on top of that biz. If only we could clone our busy creative selves...that would give us an army of do~ers...we'd surely WHIP through our 'to do' list wouldn't we?

I LOVE your masks...I've made a few also out of paper mache...very light weight and interesting!

Wonderful!! I totally agree...decluttering is key and being organized is as well. It's amazing how much clearer your mind is and then it translates into your body and life as well.

"The saying goes, de-clutter your world & your body will de-clutter"

Not only do I decorate for a business: I also organize. You can see some before and after pictures on my blog today. I truly believe that when you de-clutter your home/office; at the same time you are de-cluttering your mind. Clutter makes you overwhelmed, uncomfortable, unhappy and all the above. It affects your life negatively, period! There are many tricks to de-clutter a home; one of the tricks is not to look at the mountain but just keep your head down and work what is in front of you only. The job eventually gets done. Best of luck on your mountain, hugs, fredie

What a gift you have! WOW! Those masks are emoticon !!! I'll be waiting right here to see many more of them! You're also gifted in the fact that your
de-cluttering has the beginnings of getting everything into an order that you will be able to handle and I do believe you'll even have more space after that.

I started de-cluttering my bedroom 2 days ago and my nurse did recognize one of the corners in my room, when she came today. It's usually chuck full of anything and everything. I won't be able to de-clutter more of it tomorrow, as I'm off to the VA Hospital in Augusta, which is a 3 1/2 hour drive, one way. I have a very nice gentleman friend going with me, so he can drive.

    Blessings!

I am all 'over' decluttering as well ............. So much gone since our move of one year ago ............ It is most cathartic I find .......... and as I soon reach a 'milestone birthday' ........... I want things simplistic ..... and too much "stuff' is a burden. ........ Best wishes on your project too!

Agree that getting rid of clutter is so freeing. We put ourselves in our art and craft projects so I can understand the desire to keep those items.

I'm on a roll here also for de-cluttering and letting go. A long time ago, I pretty much knew just what I had and where it was -- hoping to get back there some day!

You're such an inspiration to me. I've been losing ground and trying so hard to release unnecessary thing: clutter, clothes, paperwork, and weight. I hope I can be as successful as you are. I just have to find a way to start and sustain this journey.
